Sky/SSN will be their PR spin machine while this goes on. All I’m seeing on there now is how City are fighting back and the impression that Etihad have a leg to stand on by threatening legal action.

He has been away on international duty and done well before, but the form/confidence has never come back with him when he plays for us. He’s just not very good and we look better without him which says enough.

Rather than sticking Barcola on the right to accommodate a youngster, how about play him in his strong position

What is his elite ability that caused us to spend so much on him? He lacks awareness of what’s around him and always gets caught on the ball. That’s made worse by him not being strong enough. He doesn’t shoot with conviction. In today’s market we should be looking to recoup most of the fee if anyone (Bayern) is daft enough.

He needs to look at someone like Bernardo Silva. That little c*** is slight in build but has the intelligence in how to use his body, whilst also being difficult to dispossess. Far too often Wirtz loses the ball when you’d think he’d be clever enough to know what to do. Only way his value stays up is by his performances for Germany.

All that money spunked on Isak and Wirtz looking like bad business.

Our next Josemi based on last night

Southampton kicked out of the playoffs and Middlesbrough are into the final

Macca needs firing from a cannon, the s*** c***

I hoped he would turn out to be like Coutinho in his prime. Unfortunately he’s playing like Coutinho of today. So slow and hesitant, reluctant to shoot and gets bullied. Looking like a bad piece of business.

Lennart Karl?

They’re levels above us. The speed they play at compared to us is ridiculous

Wonder what the comments will be after this game. The players have already accepted their fate.

What is Ekitike doing?! all over the place so far

He was clearly knackered and needed to be the first one subbed. Also, even Carra pointed out that he doesn’t have the pace to take on Premier League midfielders, so he’s clearly a bit deluded in his abilities. I’d happily not see him for the rest of the season. All the talk of our fitness being s***e has damaged him the most.

What’s with Virgil being such a fanny nowadays? Slightest touch and his arms are flailing and they’ve gone on to score a goal! Not the first time this season either, notably the mad handball he did in the champions league.

Gakpo is brain dead and Salah too slow.

Mignolet being Mignolet and gifting Atleti a goal. Brugge now score, 1-1

Whilst I’d love to pin this on Slot, he isn’t the one out there who can’t control a ball or make a simple pass. This is on the players

See if Nallo can keep up his record of getting a red card

It’s almost as if he thinks he can put his feet up now he’s won the league. This attitude has then filtered down to the players. He's being a bit of a fanny.

They were doubling up on Rio to nullify him. Even if Rio got past the defender, everyone else was stood around like statues so it didn’t matter. There was a cross when we had three players at the back post, midfields on the edge and nobody getting themselves in there to get on the end of it. All goes back to our issue of having no runners making a run in behind to at least make the defenders consider another option.

He got the ball!
