Swap for crouch, absolutely. It's incredible that a player with such an amazing pedigree is so criminally underrated. He's vastly superior to crouch. It's an affront to one of the deadliest marksmen of the past 10 years to suggest that crouch is better.

it's patently obvious we lack a clinical, world class finisher, which is what trezeguet is. With the amount of chances we create and have created over the past season and a half(todays game not withstanding) trezeguet would fill his boots. Whilst not the quickest or most dextrous centre forward I'm sure he could hold the ball up on occasion, although possibly not to the same effect crouch can. Then again, can any striker in world football perform that unique and much sought after skill as expertly as crouch? probably not, although rafa doesnt seem to think that crouch is as indispensible as some on this board judging by his recent selection policy.

see lots of 'no's but can any give a reason because I just don't see it.

 

One is an ok-ish goalscorer who is really good at holding up the ball and otherwise a step above average.

 

The other is one of the best goalscorers in the game, former top goalscorer and player of the year in Serie A.

 

It's a no brainer.
