Roma striker Vincenzo Montella has joined Fulham on a six-month loan deal.

The 32-year-old, who was a member of the Italy 2002 World cup squad, was in his eighth season at the Serie A club.

Montella, known as the airplane because of his trademark goal celebration, played for Empoli, Genoa and Sampdoria before joining Roma in 1999.

"Roma have perfected an agreement with Fulham to loan on a temporary and free basis Vincenzo Montella," a statement on the Italian club's website said.

Montella was part of the Roma team that won the Serie A title - the Scudetto - in 2001, scoring several crucial goals as they closed in on the championship.

West Ham allegedly on the verge of signing Boa Morte.

Fulham have also accepted a bid for Collins John - believed to be from Watford.

Neither match Steve H's love for Inzaghi.

Apparently that's the reason he dropped the 'i'.

To be fair (iirc), Knox just got the hump with the preening way the fella warmed up. Not half as bad as Inzaghi cuckolding Steve.

Ah so that's where the anger stems from.

But it's not up to him is it? How many months of debt repayment would £25m pay for?

im sure he has his say ;)

even the glazers would surely say lets hold on to him to see what we do this season....ok they need to clear the debt, but if we did win the league this season with him, their standing among certain fans would rise as would his value.

If you look at it another way, his value has never been higher. They might decide to cash in now.

Have the mancs complained about Montella's goal celebration yet like they did with that Exeter (I think) player the other year?

Do fans complain about other teams players goal celebrations?

Any links to this Real bid on Ronaldo?

That's probably not the link you are looking for. The one you are talking about is not called Ronaldo in this forum.

SOUNDS MAD, BUT REAL ARE JUST CRAZY FOR £7M LESCOTT

By Martin Lipton

REAL MADRID are considering a shock £7million bid for Everton defender Joleon Lescott.

Madrid boss Fabio Capello has been handed a £100million January war-chest, and the former England Under-21 centre-back is on his shortlist.

Lescott only arrived at Goodison in the summer from Wolves for £5m, but his pace and athleticism have caught Capello's eye.
