ynwa.tv Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Double Agents Down Memory Lane Meet the Referee
Guest Kev Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 So pleased to see a different referee get the chance in a major game.
Stevie H Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 he owes us a decent performance as well doesn't he?
Guest Kev Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 he owes us a decent performance as well doesn't he? I can't remember him being that bad
Stevie H Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 thought he had an uncharacteristically weak game last time out for us? or am i imagining it?
CarraLegend Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 thought he had an uncharacteristically weak game last time out for us? or am i imagining it? Blackburn home where he basically just let them smash lumps out of us or stop moves with deliberate handballs and do f*** all. Neill and Savage at the very least should of been sent off in that game. I think the blokes a clown, he looked good in the lower Leagues though. Webb is the only one I can tolerate.
Guest Kev Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I was busy against Blackburn, didn't see much of the game. Clattenburg is one of the best in the Prem I reckon, along with Webb and Halsey.
Stevie H Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 ah it was blackburn. i like him as a ref and think he's about the best in the top flight too, but he let savage get away with murder that day. that said, i don't mind him being lenient against arsenal 'cos they're moaning gets. think we're too nice to kick them though.
Bigal Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 my mates been linesmen when was reffing in the confrence, says he is a really decent lad.
Guest Kev Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Clattenburg is awful You wouldn't know a decent ref if he ran you over whilst riding an elephant and eating a lump of red leicester.
Andy @ Allerton Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 You wouldn't know a decent ref if he ran you over whilst riding an elephant and eating a lump of red leicester. that's cos there aren't any - you're all a bunch of iijits
Bigal Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 You wouldn't know a decent ref if he ran you over whilst riding an elephant and eating a lump of red leicester. I would like to see that for some reason
Guest Kev Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I would like to see that for some reason So would most of the forum
Alonso Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Gotta love this headline from the Official Site: Crouch Reaches 200 Feat LOL! Peter Crouch will make his 200th league appearance if selected to face Arsenal on Sunday. The striker, who has eight goals for the Reds this season, has reached the milestone during spells at QPR, Portsmouth, Aston Villa, Norwich, Southampton and Liverpool.
McBain Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Glad Rosicky is missing. He's been excellent for them this season
Sion Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Reina Finnan Carragher Hyypia Riise Gerrard Agger Alonso Garcia Crouch Kuyt -------- Popcorn smilie.
Gooner Spy Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 As an Arsenal fan, I don't remember this being a match that traditionally requires a traditionally strong ref. 2 reasonably honest sides, think it should be a good match. I assume Stevie G will move into centre mid?
Sion Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 why, when agger can play there? -------- popcorn smilie popcorn smilie popcorn smilie sarcastic simile
Herbie von Smalls Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Glad Rosicky is missing. He's been excellent for them this season i think he's been a major let-down for arsenal so far. i was gutted when they bought him. he's shown glimpses of his old form, but is nothing like the threat he ought to be.

I assume Stevie G will move into centre mid? 'strong' may be the wrong word - I'm thinking more along the lines of 'competent' - think along the lines of Steve Bennett's sending off of Alonso for falling over!
