Bootle Buck Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Rodney "d****ead" Marsh and the annoying Adrien Durham had Aldo on the show. He said he has been a bit baffled by Rafa's selections this season and his decison to keep changing the strikers every game. They asked what is the clubs preference this year the league or the CL and he said he didn't quite know at this stage. Of course the pair of idiots took from it what they wanted to hear and made the most of the negatives.
Cobs Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 what baffles me is why these 'experts' are baffled by Rafa's decisions. He's rotating his squad and resting players. How is that baffling? If he picked the same players match after match they'd be running stories of 'want-away' players who can't get a game. Stupid cn*ts.
Ostrich Man Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 never listen to adrian durham....its bad for the soul.

Marsh came out with a classic "If I was Liverpool manager I would never rest Gerrard for one game, unless he asked me too" How do these useless feckers get a job?
Barnes' left foot Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Marsh came out with a classic "If I was Liverpool manager..."
Guz Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Talksport is the radio equivalent of a tabloid newspaper. What do you expect?
fyds Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Why is he resting players...Hmmm...dunno...is it possible that 7 games in two weeks has something to do with it? Hairy discharging nobs thoise people. I don't know why anyone listens to Talkshoite unless they enjoy shouting obscenities at the radio - it's the radio equivalent of a certain fat Geordie's website.
Eskimo Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Its not just about resting players though, Kuyt has been here what all of 5 minutes do they really think that Rafa will chuck him straight into the team..
Buzz Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 He is a Knob, been calling Rafa "lucky"Got a bitter, smug, not to be trusted look about him.
Stew F Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 They are in danger of alienating all footie fans with their "topical" afternoon show, where Marsh and Durham play good cop bad cop with the phone in.The show is just so cringeworthy in its taunting of fans to get the phone lines buzzing. Oh and that bluenosed crank Mike Parry is the most hateful man in the world.I've got to admit I do listen in, because in a perverse kind of way I enjoy getting stressed on my way home from work it........sort of......seems to relieve stress
floyd Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Ring in, air your views and we'll trouser the money. Rodney Marsh is a tw4t. FACT
DMCA Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Marsh came out with a classic "If I was Liverpool manager I would never rest Gerrard for one game, unless he asked me too" How do these useless feckers get a job? Quite right. The fool spelled "too" completely wrong
madaboutlfc Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 rodney marsh.. how many years of top flight successful management did he have.. ppl older than me i know remember him as man citys asprilla
Christine Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 I don?t think anyone has a problem with the rotation concept, some just happen to think that making wholesale changes is not necessarily playing the rotation game, and needing to rest players only a handful of games into the season doesn?t seem right, I blame the internationals meself.
difs.oner Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Too be honest I didn't get why he picked Fowler in that game with that line up. He's too slow to play off Crouch it's not like he can be a target man either cause he's short and you have Crouch. Maybe if you had 2 wingers to put in crosses and he can lay off the ball to the wingers so either him or Crouch is in the box but he had Gerrard and Garcia on the wings who both cut in. He could have used Bellamy instead of Fowler or Crouch. And it's not like he had to be rested. I think football365 said Welsh players never have to rested early in the season, not like they're doing anything in the summer. Sorry a bit random and I do sway from to point but i was never really any good at english.
fyds Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 'Yeah, allright - I'm just fecking great, I am' Truly, he looketh the very personification of self-satisfied. I'll bet his best friend is a mirror.

Just say he picks Kuyt and Bellamy on Sunday and they both score and we win 3-0 I think he will stay with them for the next game, not one partnership (yet) this season has looked on fire so he is happy to change around. There will always be rotation but if/when we start winning regularly I think we will settle a bit more. But at present he wants to keep all the squad fit and ready - except Salif of course.

But just say it takes said players to have a couple of games together before they get into their game and score them three goals, maybe them not looking on fire is a direct result of not having a run of a few games with a regular partner.
Benitez Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Marsh came out with a classic "If I was Liverpool manager I would never rest Gerrard for one game, unless he asked me too" How do these useless feckers get a job? what makes me laff about the whole Gerrard being rested lark, is that AFTER the game, when we got a good point away from home, there is still a headline on the BBC 'Benitez defendes Gerrard decision'. So we go from a game when Gerrard DID play (and played poorly), and we got stuffed, to a game where he didn't start, and we played well and got a good result, to the manager having to defend his decision? It's just plain silly. Thought we where over the whole 'Gerrard is Liverpool FC' bollorcks, obviously not! As for Rodney Marsh - he really is a plonker.
