That picture still isn't conclusive as to whether Schevchenko missed the rebound that night (not that it would have counted!) but a further pitcure as the team are running shows the ball at the 18 yard line

i've been sitting in work all day remembering last years events. it still doesnt seem real. to be a part of it means so much to me.

 

Know exactly what you mean Wayne. One of the lads at work was on the same trip as me whilst another met us in the ground (he bunked off work and nearly got the sack and his plane only landed at 5pm in the airport on the asian side of the city - he was lucky to get there and see us just as the pre-match b******s thing was going on).

 

Anyway, all day today we have been emailing and saying where we were, what we were doing etc at that time.

 

The three of us went for a beer after work, an Efes to be exact, and we all told our stories.

 

Good old Neil, who had no time for an ale after his delayed flight out was tasting it for the first time.

 

25/05/05 is more than just a match, it's as though that day there was a shift in the earth's axis.

Its a shame in some sense, but im only 23 but ive already experienced the best night of my life

i missed the juve and chelsea matches through injury but despite being in plaster i wasnt missing istanbul

and what a night it was - best of my life. and we can do it again
