King and Dawson in the squad ahead of Carra and Hyypia is just downright stupid, whether you're a red or not.

 

You could also make strong arguments for Alonso, Reina, Finnan and Riise but the centre-half one is ridiculous.

 

Now Finnan hasn't been in one single 'team of the year' we can all go back to calling him 'under-rated' again. He was starting to edge towards being correctly rated...

I don't think you have to be a mad Red to appreciate that Liverpool have had one of the best goalies and defences in the league this season. And that over the course of the season players like Finnan, Reina, Hyypia have been very consistent and played well. Far more so than the likes of Chimbonda, Eboue, Dawson, De Zeuw, Robinson....

 

He's gone for the hyped choices tho to be fair, like pretty much everyone else have done.

I think it's quite funny. reina isn't even in the choice of the 3 keepers - or cech come to that. weren't liverpool and chelsea the best 2 defences?

 

i know i don't watch a lot of wigan, but isn't jimmy bullard a midfield player not a striker? that's where he's played when i've watched them.

 

i really wish i could get a job like that. talk s**** and get paid for it, rather than talking s**** and posting it for free on forums.

Apart from the non inclusion of Reina, I still can't see anything that unfair about it. He's not picking the best team or best defensive unit, he's picking the individuals who have stood out out for him over the season.

Steve Finnan not even in the selection list, no Sami Hyypia. Fabregas ??? over the whole season ? Downing has been injured half the year.

 

Matt Taylor for LB is a good shout, shame Sven didn't spot him, he would have been good cover as he can play both LB and LM.
