Accorging to UEFA we then have a mini-league excluding Besiktas which would be: Liverpool 5pts Porto 5pts Marseille 5pts Erm. Then it comes down to goal difference*, which surely would favour us. So we'd go through yes? Have I made a mistake there? Goal difference in the games excluding Besiktas initially, which will exclude the 8-0, but still this 4-1 tonight must put our goal difference as the best?

I thought you were all for overpaying, which is essentially how the likes of Man United tie up deals quickly. According to popular wisdom our squad is far better now than it was, say, 3 years ago. Now our squad is better because of the players we've bought and the players we've sold. Now if this is something to be praise Rafa for (which is a perfectly sound argument) then surely Parry should get some of the praise for dealing with negotiations in at least a few of these deals.

So I'm assuming here that Parry wasn't responsible for the deals we've successfully negotiated then?

So can someone tell me which deals of the last three years were negotiated by Rafa and which by Parry? I'd like to know who to blame/praise for all the s****/fantastic deals we've had. Ta.
