If Rafa has enquired about Voronin, he must be desperate. I have wondered in the past if we have a small coterie of players who Rafa hadn't seen play live before he brought them in. Voronin would be a member of that group even though he was a freebie. So would Ngog. It is not unknown for players to be bought on the basis of what managers have seen on a video.....

Good point and I agree about Plessis. A lot of talk on here about Torres and match fitness. How much match fitness do people think Plessis has got?? Knowing Rafa, it is possible we will see N'gog up front today. Don't know why he has a fixation on this guy. How many goals did he get for PSG before he came here? Someone told me he had scored TWO the last season he was with them. Think Torres has to play with Benayoun in the hole. Then four in the middle - Kuyt, Alonso, Masch and Riera. Back four Arbeloa, Carra, Hyypia (certainly against Crouch) and Aurelio.

People on here are talking about Valencia but I suspect he will go to Man Utd in the summer. As for players going, wouldn't be at all surprised to see Babel go.

Might just as well put Sami up front - at least he'll be able to head the ball and he certainly could do no worse than messrs Kuyt and Babel in the goals dept.

Why would we want two players who can't regularly hold their place in the Spurs team?? If transfers were left to Rafa, don't think we would be talking about Keane now anyway. On another matter, how many players have joined the club that Benitez hadn't seen play beforehand? Can't believe he sanctioned Dossena, the Swiss rightback or even Lucas without watching them play first. But it wouldn't be the first time that has happened at Liverpool, would it?

Disagree completely. As for lofting the ball in the area, that could also apply to the goalkeeper punting the ball upfield, the defenders also. There were times in the match against Everton I thought maybe our defence thought we still had Crouch. Best part of making the best use of Torres is on the ground, not hopefully trying to find his head from the back.

His crossing from the right was better than most, not just Kuyt. However, the number of goals he scored was frankly a disgrace and if you cross Rafa off the pitch you are done for. I'm amused by Pennant's statement that he had to train on his own on a Saturday afternoon while the team were somewhere else...
