Hard on the heels of the news in the press this morning that we haven't really got a pot to p*ss in for transfers next season (old news indeed), I get told that demand for season tickets next season has fallen away. Anyone on the waiting list might have a better chance soon if that's true! Anyone else heard that?

I'd amplify that a bit more. It would put us back to Souness levels. And if Mascher goes (quite likely if Stevie G and Torres leave) then it may be back to even pre-Shankly levels........

The Liverpool Legends are playing this coming Sunday, May 16th, at the ground of Blue Square Premier League side Hayes & Yeading Utd in Church Road, Hayes (off the A4020) Those down to play include John Aldridge, McManaman, Phil Neal, Ronnie Whelan, Mark Wright, Paul Walsh, Didi Hamann and Alan Kennedy. K/O 3.00 pm, entrance about a five I believe. The Jason Roberts Foundation is the cause and apart from Roberts, Les Ferdinand and Paul Merson are among the opponents. An opportunity to relive old times?

Be afraid, be VERY afraid.... Regardless if he goes or stays, we won't get more than about 18 million quid to use for transfer funds - and that is after we sell off some of our fringe players, imo.

If that story was true I couldn't see Rafa leaving the club shortly, IMO.

Remember too, that if Rafa goes, then around six or seven of the backroom staff will follow him. The big question is, of course, who replaces him. Only Hodgson domestically would be on the list, otherwise twill be someone like Rijkaard. However, with ownership in a state of flux, maybe we will hobble along most of this summer without a manager.... On another subject, I find it a touch ironic that Riise is shoved out to Roma and finishes up with an Italian Championship medal, whereas the team he left won't get into Europe next season (I am excluding the Europa Cup, by the way).
