Think Jones is on £50.000 per week at present. I have an uneasy feeling about this guy. If he was that good, it wouldn't be just the likes of Stoke and Birmingham interested in him. I hope I am wrong but we will just have to see.

The problem is that if he does come he may well find that Gerrard, Torres and praps Reina have left or are leaving. And if you believe today's press, they are going to take Man Utd of the Glazers' hands.

I thought Degen looked up for it actually but he was suddenly "gone" after seventy minutes. Not sure if that was because of another injury or he wasn't fit enough.

You don't seriously think he'll come to us now, do you? A number of clubs are interested in him and he won't go to one who can't offer him European football next season.

The snow has just stopped falling dahn sarf. It started at 3.00 am around here but nobody has seen a gritting lorry for about two days. It'll probably stop Reading fans from travelling, especially as the TV reports the snow is moving north. Won't stop the hardy northerners though, will it?

Torres and Gerrard to be sold in the summer, followed by Rafa resigning - that's the worst-case scenario. The second worst is that one of the players - Torres - will go. Either way next season we would be playing at best around the position that Everton are currently. I wouldn't bet against either of these scenarios happening but hope to God it doesn't. Thank you very much, Mr Moores.

It depends on the area on when the last time we had this kind of weather. But I certainly remember it as bad as this - and worse, both for ice and snow. There were certainly some games postponed then, no doubt about it, but there were also quite a few played too AND the clubs never had under-soil heating. One of the few differences has been the amount of traffic coming through to games whereas in the past it was virtually either public transport or walk. Maybe that is the major reason for our game being off Sunday. But if this carries on for another month - as a few Met 'experts' are predicting - then we can settle back to a month without soccer. Somehow I don't think it will come to that regardless of the forecasts........

Ridiculous. We've all seen matches or seen pics of games being played with snow on the pitch. Didn't worry the authorities then, did it? Now we postpone lower league matches when the pitch is clean but there is snow on the terraces let alone for today's reason. If they want to call off a match because of conditions outside the ground, why not call off people going to city shopping areas for the same reason? There are plenty of pavements still iced up in those areas. Should be left to the individual, for Chrissakes.
