You might get problems on the legal front with the word "immoral" as well but he's on the right track and a big advert on that will not only bring the rest of the press in on the back of it but the TV channels too.

Yes, Leo has a germ of a good idea there. But I wouldn't stop at just a broadsheet which has a fairly small circulation. I would go for one of the major tabloids too so that most of the Liverpool supporters up and down the land also get to hear of it as well.

Anyone else think we were fast asleep on VdV? How can a player be worth 18 million on Monday and two days later he's at eight million? We have been linked with this player, off and on, for quite a few years. Begs the question would he have been snapped up by us during this transfer window if Rafa was still here? I've said on here that the Hodge appears to think he's still at Fulham. The player exchange for Konchesky appears to answer that...... As for Babel and Lucas for Carlton Cole, words fail me. And the Hammers turned the offer down because they reckoned those two were only worth nine million and Cole was tagged more than that??? The world has gone crazy.

Why not? Remember, the Hodge is likely to be still in Fulham mode, hence getting Konchesky. Probably why he went for Carlton Cole as well. Cole would have been a good signing for Fulham but NOT for us. The question you have to ask yourself is....... if Rafa had still been in charge and needed a striker, would we still be in the same position as now? One injury to Torres and Goodnight Vienna....

Is correct. I saw Konchesky last week against Man Yoo and he had a howler. No way is he valued at five million (which includes the two players going the other way - one of which is a striker). As I've previously said, Roy is probably collecting 30 year-olds like some people collect stamps. What with Carra, Gerrard, Aurelio, Kuyt, Konchesky, Paulsen plus Joe Cole who is currently an honorary member - have I missed anyone out? As for the Portuguese player, I've had SSN on and they don't even mention him. Is this just speculation?

Konchevsky is bound to join us - Roy needs to increase the number of 30 year-olds in the squad which is currently five, I believe.

Barca and Real are always doing those tactics. Pity someone doesn't try it with them. BBC is indeed saying reports are suggesting it is approaching 25 million. However, it will be staggered payments and it is debatable whether the Hodge will see most of it for his transfer kitty.
