Apart from anything else, you always try for any tournament you enter. Apart from having the chance of winning another £150 mln next year in Europe, it's a nonsense to state we won't bother to try for Europe at all because we are focussed on the title. Hear, hear.

We've had a number of chances this year to have sewn up 6th place and guarantee Europe next season. We need to use this match as "belt and braces" just in case we lose the final. Win this and we're only one pt behind the Hammers who surprisingly lost today. And there will be still 2 games to go.

It's not the attack we have to worry about even if Benteke plays instead of Sturridge. It's the defence!

And ones that can score goals.... There is supposed to be a report in the press that Liverpool are willing to give Balotelli away. Anyone seen it?

Some of the press are saying its: Ward, Smith, Caulker, Skrtel, Flanagan; Stewart, Allen; Ibe, Brannigan (!), Ojo; Benteke

Allen Milner Lallana

I STILL think we should try him left midfield. We have precious few midfielders who score goals anyway so we could do worse.

Never mind 4th. you can forget the top six.

Think this game is particularly important for us today. We win this and we go above West Ham and we'll be only two points behind Man Utd. Hope Klopp doesn't change this team too much .......

All this talk about fighting for fourth place. Do I take it we have given up winning the Europa Cup? Win that and we wouldn't have to worry about 4th place....

And why not? We all know he is suspect as a defender but he's much better going forward. At least he would add drive to the midfield. Paisley and Shanks did this. If they bought a player who wasn't quite up to the mark in the position they bought him for, for whatever the reason, they switched him elsewhere with a great deal of success. Geoff Strong and Ray Kennedy come immediately to mind. Think it's worth a try, meself.

|Mignolet Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Flanno/Smith Milner, Allen, Coutinho, Moreno Sturridge/Origi, Ojo Subs: Ward, Ibe, Skrtel, Lucas, Lallana

Martinez says they will be at full strength. But so will we. We've got Mignolet, Skrtel, Moreno, Benteke and we've got special dispensation to play Balotelli as well!!
