A mate of mine is a season ticket holder. He was saying that most of them hate Gallas as Captain because he does f*** to encourage the team all throughout the game unless he knows the cameras are focused on him and then he starts running around screaming and clapping at the team. I didnt really understand what he meant untill they played us the other week. When the goalkeeper was down Gallas suddenly sprang into action for the camera`s.

I really don’t know why you expend so much energy in these England debates because you are never going to win or change anything. This sort of England bashing has been going on for as long as I can remember. Next to America, England seem to be the most hated country in the world. The Welsh and Scottish are as bitter as they come when it comes to England football team ( I lived in Wales for 40 years). It used to be said that scousers hate England because they are all descendants of Welsh and Irish, but I doubt that is strictly true. I do find it strange that English people hate England so much (I wont mention a name ) taking every opportunity to slag them off and hope for serious injuries, yet will probably buy a Spain shirt and sit in the pub cheering them on as well as bathing in the celebrations when they won the European Championships like a good Spanish national would. If England ever do win the WC or the EC it will be interesting to see how many of the England haters (United and Liverpool) suddenly become Life long supporters.

Same was said of Owen some time back and Fowler before him. If he wants to go, he will go for about £20mil. That should rule Lazio out of it then!

This is a multi national membership so I can understand the anti english. Its funny how everyone is allowed to be proud of their country except the English who are branded BNP supporters. Anyway, the question still stands as a point of interest.

Thats true. But Benitez wont spend £30 mil on one player when he can buy 11 or 12 players for the same amount. I know I know, you have told me a million times not to exaggerate.

You forget, we dont sell players to Liverpool. My point is that both Yossi and Pennant were bought by Benitez, I dont think you have vast amounts of lolly to spend, so who can he get in? Having said that. Its always claimed that there is not much money to spend and yet he always manages to buy a new squad each summer it seems.

But if Benitez did do that, who do you think he would buy in?

I bet there are a few posters on here that have a habit. Most of the musicians we like have a habit. Yep he cheated and I bet there is noone here that moaned about it at the time and for years afterwards as much as I did, but ffs, he is one of the best players the world has ever seen. You have to respect the guy for that.

Try taking your Livrpool supporters head off and listen to the Kop during a Liverpool Manchester United game. Its just the same.

I agree on both points. Chelsea have been in this position where they go top then the other team wins and goes top so I doubt it will jangle their nerves as much as the Liverpools squad, but beating them on their own stomping ground might have been the result of the season. United will be right up there, but I fear our results against the top 4 will already have undone us. The games I have seen Liverpool play this year they have not played very well at all, yet they get the results, but when they played United and Chelsea they stepped up a couple of gears. Of course I will be topping myself if you win the title

It has to be said that both Liverpool and Chelsea are looking very good this season. Thats a 3rd of the season gone now. Not sure who my money is on.

Good post. Spurs have got Bolton today and Arsenal in midweek and Liverpool next weekend. 'Arry could be sacked by the end of the week !
