  1. kicking people in the b******s is definately worse than diving. You should get a red card for that, just a yellow for diving.
  2. actually think the two defeats to chelsea are whats let us down. Turn them around and we are only 3 points off the top.
  3. or because last time an irish international football team was in Prague half of the players got arrested for "an incident in a nightclub" which is apparently the accepted euphamism for a punch up in a brothel. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/w...002/1377471.stm
  4. the problem is that diving is really just another form of foul play. Players handle the ball to get an advantage and sometimes get away with it, players foul opponents to get an advantage and sometimes they get away with it. The idea that diving is the only way that players deliberately cheat is wrong and pretty soon you would end up with every decision being analysed for deliberate intent as opposed to an instinctive movement.
  5. there might be a few small manc crews who fancy their chances but the cops will be out in force. It will go off without a hitch.

  7. saw mourinho being interviewed on football focus and he once agains mentioned that it wasnt really a goal, they have never really beaten us, and it occured to me that we will win on pens so that he can still trot out that bulls***.
  8. under the current rules it counts. It the rules that are wrong, not the decision. What I cant understand is why the law makers thought this would be a good idea, it hasn't led to more goals, just more furious football fans

    Fowler

12 months ago nobody would touch fowler with a 10 foot pole. he was injury prone, rumoured to be lazy/unfit and well down the pecking order at city. Put him in a red shirt and you can see the old magic is still there. He has lost some pace, but replaced it with wonderful vision, and he is still as good at puting the ball in the net as anyone you care to mention. I cant wait to see him fully fit and raring to go after the summer.

  22. Definately a big step forward. We should get about 1/3rd more points than last years. I think its interesting to look at the areas we were weakest last year and how well Rafa has addressed them. Up front - Crouch scores as many as baros but crucially actually holds the ball up and allow the midfield and defense to push out. Midfield - Sissoko has been a revelation chasing and tackling opponents and generally denying them the time and space they had last year. Defense - Reina is lightneing quick and his judgement is great. Many times this year he has snuffed out danger before it got a chance to develop. I cant think of loads of great saves he has made because he has got the balance just right with the back four and hasnt been called on to make many saves. Whats most encouraging though is that we have come such a long way, but there is still obviously huge room for further improvement. Its crystal clear we need an outside right and at least one centre forward to replace cisse and morientes. I've every confidence that Rafa will sort out these positions over the summer as effectively as he did the previous summer.
