my wife had two detached retina ops at moorfields and has since had more remedial treatment at St pauls in the royal. she said there is no comparison. moorfields has the big reputation, but in fact liverpool is miles ahead, better care from the staff, better treatment and its got more research money so many of the best eye surgeons want to work in liverpool. worringly though the most thing she was told after her ops was avoid any bangs on the head as they will cause the stitch that holds the retina onto the eyeball to come loose. The Not sure how momo is going to avoid heading the ball though in his choosen career. I still think we should be cautious rather than optimistic.

more of the same from me, SG is second behind Souness. I think Gerrard is in many ways the equal of Souness in terms of footballing ability, but he doesn't have the presence on the pitch. Souness growled and some players were wary of him in the way that they have been with Roy Keane in recent years. Others who thought they could go toe to toe with Souness and kick him about a bit he just shrugged off and outplayed them. Gerrard has several qualities that Souness didnt, he is more athletic, scores more goals, is a much better crosser. For me Souness was a better passer and tackler, so technically they probably balance out quite closely but Souness had a presence they Gerrard is yet to acquire.

I got on as well, and those few bets were probably enough to tip their potential liability in the wrong direction and get the book closed for now.
