If you look at the past few seasons we've had a few problems. Away form and starting the season very slowly where the two main ones. We've managed to rectify both this season picking up wins away at 2 of the top 6 , draws at 2 and a fluke defeat at the other. We were also top in september. However , previous strengths have become weaknesses. 1-0 Liverpool usually meant game over , no way back for the opposition but this season it hasnt. Zonalmarking has now become a weakness ,probably due to the change of personal in the team (Riise is better in the air than Aurelio , Agger is better at defending set-peices than Skrtel and Carragher , Crouch is likewise than Torres) , our home form has been sketchy and we've failed to beat 4 of the top 6 at home. This season seems a case of trying to do too much at once , proably a transistional year like United had for a few but should we combine the things weve learned to do better this year with things we've done effictively in the past methinks a title challenge is forthcoming. Another way is had we beaten United twice there would be a 12 point swing which I think puts us level with them. Cant wait for Ant to get here and for this to be a Rafa out! thread.

Nani has 14 assits this season so to suggest that Voronin is anywhere near the threat him , Giggs (who's record over the past 14 years s***s on anything Voronin will ever do ) and Scholes who is an influential playmaker of the highest level is absurd. You seriously think we are doing fine with a 4 goal striker? Thats a goal every 4 games which is poor and nothing to be bragging about. It's more to do with them introducing the likes of Giggs , Nani , Scholes or Anderson when we introduce Voronin.

Say what you will about his condescending nature , obsession with stats and at times laughable defence of Voronin but Kaizer is spot on about Skrtel. He looks to have a mistake in him every game and I really thought he should have been sent off today but he's young and by 26 he should be a proper defender.

Assist wise, Ronaldo's record is not in Kuyt's class (3 for the season , I believe). Goal wise he may have a slight edge.

It really was laughable. Roberts did not even get booked for shouting at him on 3 different occasions for about 10 seconds. The FA are a joke.

In Dirk Kuyt's last 10 games , he has 7 assits and 3 goals. Go on , find a winger with a better record in a top league. Go on.

Hamman ,Kewell and Owen were all very good players too. I said after Istanbul that Rafa earned the right to see out his contract that night but then he went from strength to strength and is a class , class manager. We could make a top 10 European nights based on Rafas 4 years here and to think we've been to the Nou-camp , San-siro and the likes and been toe-to-toe with European greats and beaten them is testament to his skills as a manager. Some of our fans take these nights for granted. Hyypia is in my top 10 players ever.
