Aurelio is not class. He's a decent player but one we can ill-afford to have in our starting XI. He's weak in the tackle , his positioning is wayward and despite being capable of bits of magic on the ball , he gives it away at an alarming rate. He's not that fast or strong either. In general not good enough. Lucas is a good player and will be big but it seems the physical demands of this league are catching up on him , keeping in mind that Babel rarely completes the 90. Alonso is better and I think lucas needs a 3 or 4 game rest.

like a few who have posted , I do not normally subscribe to the feeling that the media are anti-LFC. I do however think Richard Keys was an absolute disgrace. An English club had just outplayed, statistically, the best team in the world over the past 18 months and done it in front of 80k hostile fans of the opposition. Richard keys then has the temerity to ask if Rafa is " a lucky manager". c***.

Aurelio and lucas need to be dropped. I just think Rafa does not understand the league. He's holding a young hungry English managers job and it sickens me. As eamon dunpy said he will systematically destroy Liverpool from the inside and this joke of a formation is further proof. 2 up front get 2 wide players is the formation we should play and get big Crouchie up top they could challenge. To do this they need a great manager like my mate Curbs or MON or another young manager like Boothryd. Pundit mode off. I did not bat an eye-lid at either save. Not because they were not world class , they were , but I expect that from him. I would not say he's the best Keeper in the world (Casiias and Buffon) but he's mileeeeeeees ahead of any other 'keeper in this country. IMO he did not get enough credit for the Cruz miss when Ibra slid him in and Reina was out at an unreal speed , no other 'keeper would have been out that quickly and for me that was the difference with Cruz rolling Stankovic in or placing the ball in the bottom corner. He started off excellently since his signing but over the past month or so the jury has really come out over his performances and I dont think he should be picked anymore. In the first leg I thought he was pretty bad but I put it down to being over-roared by the situation but then the same tonight.

He'll deffo be barging down Rafa's door for reasons why he's not picked every week.

Richard Keys is a f*** of the highest order. Burdisso should have walked. Stakovic should have defintly walked. Mascherano is the second coming , he was awesome tonight. Lucas was poor but such was the awesomeness of Mascherano's performance he did not need to play well. Skrtel was concerning and I thought Aurelio was also poor. Other than those 3 and Sky , everything else was very good further proof Reina is the best keeper in the country. Our fans where very loud and Torres is the sex.

I just think hw favours quantity over quality. He needs to play Torres every game instead of constantly resting him

Aye , the game against Vitesse in the uefa cup 5 years ago only drew 23,000 not suggesting you could convince that many people to stay away but it shows that we're not as an attrative product as we've been lead to believe. If we get through and it will be tough , then we draw someone like Fernabache or Schalke , 1st leg out there and Rafa takes care of business to put us in a healthy position for the 2nd leg then perhaps similar attendences numbers could be reached. Hicks' would defintly be forced into action if a European night at Anfield was not drawing a gate.

How would a boycott actually work? Would you just not buy a ticket or buy and not show up and protest outside the stadium? A few games 5 years ago , if I remember correctly , only pulled in about 33,000 people and if you could convince about 10,000 to boycott then you'd have a shot.

First off , when we win CL games the 1st thing I do when I get him is listen to Dunphy , always always hillarious. Inter are , based on form squad size ability , the best side in the world. If they score early and they might from a set-peice , we've got a f***en job on. In saying that they've been laying poorly for 3 months now but with the players they have they could easily raise it to save Mancini's job.

The way he was treated by fans after Blackburn was a f***ing disgrace , more proof if needed, the media decides whos good and who's bad. He's a 15 goal a season man. He's a massive game striker and in a team brimming with s***houses and lazy c**** he gives his all every week and has a good cross on him. I still think we need to improve but theres no reason he cannot stay here for years to come making about 30-40 appearances a season.

Rafa Benitez is a highly intelligent man and has won a CL 2 la ligas etc etc and I back him 100% which is why him paying 7.7m for Pennant and playing him a lot was the most baffling thing I've ever seen.

Na he's orite. He seems to adapted his game , he no longer looks out of his depth in-behind Torres but is playing very well. In the last few weeks he's got his drive back and looks to be hitting top form. Some would say he's had a quiet season but it's still seen him score 19 goals and look on course to better his best ever. He also has 10 assists in the premier league alone and Kaizer could tell us how many he has in all competitons. Considering hes not been at his best thats a frightening tally and a testament to his threat even when not playing well. 28 later this year he's entering the prime of his career and could lead the assault on the title next year.

Reading at home. Torres will score his 20th league goal and yours truely will begin the brand new boss Torres chant.

We still need to replace Momo. Someone who plays the destroyer role and does not mind playing second fiddle to Masch but won't cost a lot , a player like Diarra for 2-4m.
