Alonso was immense , Mascherano was very good as were Kuyt and Gerrard. In my opinon Carragher had a shocker , he was pulled out of position , allowed players to get inside and just was not himself. Skrtel is good but he reminds of Rio a few years ago , where he's got one mistake in him. Reina should have saved their goal. Torres was suprinsingly poor , but we'll let that slide. He's in my top 5 LFC defenders ever. He is in my opinion also the best defender "the premiership" has had the fortune of seeing. Imperious , class and hopefully he gets his testimonial. You just know that Skrtel always leaves the pitch having learned something new after playing with Hyypia.

I did not vote but if I did , it would have been for Hyypia. He was immense. Against a very strong , powerful , explosive striker he gave nothing away , his positioning was excellent and again in the air he was faultless. Then came the recovery challenge after Skrtel's mistake. Class defender.

I knew this was coming although I thought the sulking to Lucas' misplaced pass would be mentioned too.
