Gerrard is the perfect partner for Torres.

Torres Gerrard Mascherano

RIP Liam.

Kuyt is winning me over. His skill isnt great but his work rate is offering a lot to the team. I only hope he scores more goals in order for me to keep this level of faith in his overall input.

We're closer to the top of the table, in a league that is getting more and more difficult and we've made yet another CL semi final. To even dream of sacking Rafa would be insane. They say that people always want more.. whether its money or ambition, it always has to be improving in order for a person to stay happy. being a person, I do hope we can eventually win the league under Rafa but even if we don't, we have a pretty decent thing here. It's hard to tire of constantly coming through after being the underdog against 'better' teams in the CL. I won't get into the argument about league form only to say that I think that we have improved in the league this season overall. we have our 20 goal a season striker and we still have captain fantastic... we've enough quality to beat Chelsea, who will be confident after beating utd when nobody really thought they had it in them. We have to go away and show them why it has been our club who has made 2 finals in recent years and not them. I've every faith in the team to achieve this but it will be bloody tough. Gotta say that i am lookin forward to tonights game too. We're due a man utd v Liverpool CL final and I just hope it happens. having said that, I think we would be better matched to play barca... but sure that's not the point now is it.
-
I really hope that the players think they are on their way to the final. However, it has always been the last game where their dreams were shattered and they'll be well aware of this. This is not about home and away.. its about scars. we're gonna take them, I can feel it.

If Chelsea score first it makes little difference to moral as all we'd still need would be that single away goal that I think we will get. I saw something in chelsea tonight that I didn't really notice before. they are lost without Mourinho. You might ask me to look at the table and answer what the hell im on about. well tonight, I saw a lack of belief and confidence in them. It's very obvious that things have gone wrong for them. I think they are heading for a dip. Don't be suprised if utd beat em 3-0 or so. chelsea lose the league and their heads drop. I think we're well able to give them a hiding at stamford bridge. I just hope that CL liverpool show up.... better game from Gerrard (although , his skill just before the shot that was heading for the top corner... actual world class - not the s***ty cliched version.)

If Kuyt had managed to control and score that long ball from alonso then everyone would be talking about Alonso , not just a few.
-
Then Chelsea are out. Everyone is upset at the draw in the end but let's all reflect on this. For instance. if chelsea had gotten that lucky goal at the start... then the game went on as it did. We'd not be delighted with the result but everyone would be talking about how we didn;t get a winner. We played them off the park and all I ask for and all I think we need is another performance like the one we saw tonight. We may be the ones needing to score, but this has happened before and we did it. Home or away, 100 games undefeated or not... blah, I am so confident that oue team are going to knock them out.

the balls had a spin on it ffs. get over it.

Ideal end to the season? Simple, us beating man utd in the final of the CL. I dont care if we finish 7th as long as this happens.

I don't think he is having a go at English peopole or England as such. He is saying the health system in germany is better. It might be, but that isnt the same as saying england is s***. As for the accent thing, well all he is saying is he has a hard time undenrstanding it, if anyone has a problem with what he's said there then I think they should go away and cry to be honest.
-
from now on his first name is c***.
-
I know loads of people think Parry should be sacked etc but I think this is just nuts. Hicks is out of control and Im starting to wonder what kind of mental state this man is in. the more this goes on the more I think Gillett is innocent of any wrong doing. God tho, can someone please buyout/take-out this fool.
-
I don't think Voronin is any good but he missed the sitter cause he hasnt been playing at all. Also to say he doesnt run is just stupid talk.
-
Plessis had a great debut. Lad should be well pleased. Lucas played well from what I saw, whoever gave Carra just a 6 is a fool tho. sorry but you have no clue.
-
Ya f*** that. Everyone forget about Hicks for a week. we need to focus on the up coming game and nothing else. gotta frighten the arsenal players with a show of support that they've never seen before.
-
Carra Sktrel Crouch Plessis was excellent. hard mto judge between the 4 but if you were to give more points to the youngster for doing so well after being thrown in to a huge game then maybe he'd nip it.
-
The more I see Kuyt out wide the more I think he may in fact stay. Since he's got excellent defensive qualities I do wonder if Rafa might go for this Rafinha character alright. A proper and very attack minded wing back who could overlap Kuyt and yet at the same time be protected to a certain degree by him. having said that, I know nothing about this Rafinha fella, isnt he meant to be an Alves type player?
-
1 Kuyt 2 Gerrard 3 Srktel think Mascherano put in some lovely tackles too worst players 1 Babel 2 Alonso 3 Aurelio babel was nervous so he's off the hook if you ask me but the other 2 just werent in the game.
-
He's young and hasn't yet developed the mental strength that he will need to focus on the game. A generous and supportive crowd would of course help the guys confidence. This player needs our support.
-
other than the obvious (his goal), I think Kuyt had a massive impact on the game lastnight. He is a big reason as to why we came out of there with any form of result. I too question his ability but I was delighted with him lastnight and found myself hoping that he'd be left on for the duration of the game.
-
Terrible display but as someone else said, it was a rabit in the headlights kind of deal. You could see that every time he got the ball he was suffering from indecision which is what happens to inexperienced players who are thrown into huge games. As bad as he was, I wouldn't judge him on it and I think people are going to need to give him a lot more patience.
-
I think Arsenal will be more effected by the Anfield crowd than most of the other top teams in Europe. I'm not sure they have the bottle to be honest. I'm hoping they will get lost in the atmosphere as it took them an aweful long time to get back into the game once we scored lastnight. Imagine what they might feel like if we can get an early goal at anfield? the crowd would crush them.
