Er... he`s a winger providing crosses, which the more he does, the better he`ll get. It`s only the 2nd game of the season, so give him a chance. He`s picking up where he left off last season. Just as a post-it. cos MOTD2 is on, Geovani`s cracker of a goal against the scum was a stunner, but, of course, the Balex Ferguson, c*cksucking footie media think it may have taken a deflection! Credit where credit`s due, it was a class goal!

Seriously, are you advocating that in a physical game that two challenges merits a form of warning or punishment. Sure, lets just sanitise the game! All thats needed is that refs should be prepared to consult another, possibly more informed, source for any potential decision due to a possible lack of view of contentious events because the ref cannot truly rely on the decision of his assistants who may be 50 yards away from the action. Apart from anything else, why do these so-called assistant referees only raise their flags at transgressions of the rules of the game, after the ref has blown the whistle.

I couldn`t stand him until I watched a programme about him and his vacuous wife hosting a charity event at their dez res to raise money for his academy. It showed him coaching kids and really enjoying himself and being really down to earth, especially with a Down`s Syndrome kid that he really took to. I developed a respect for the guy after that that I never thought he deserved. Apart from anything else, he could certainly cross a ball and take one hell of a free-kick, but one thing that I never understood was, if he was taking a free-kick, why the hell didn`t they put an extra player on the goal-line?!

It`s quite simple really, the ref already wears an earpiece (although the fourth official today must have forgotten about that) so a person or persons watch the immediate footage (Sky, not BBC, cos they`re too feckin slow) of contentious events and relay the verdict into the ref`s ear, but only for penalty and goal-line decisions. Can`t see any argument against that logic.

Not that I care about England, but I think the question should be "When are they ever going to appoint a decent manager?" It`s not the players` fault that the recent gamut of pointless appointments couldn`t arrange a decent subbuteo squad never mind a national one.
