well in my personal opinion, it has a lot to do with how the player behaves of the pitch. i.e. i could never coma to like placcy, let alone consider him a legend, because he comes across as a downright c*** off the pitch. i think player loyalty also matters, someone like bellamy won't go down in history as a legend because he switches clubs like underwear (he'll maybe be a wales legend though) the true legends are those who have that are great players and are likable off the pitch. to name a few names i would say out of the cuurent lot stevie, hyypia, carra, alonso, reina, torres (most already are legend or will become given the time) older players such as kenny, rush, hansen, molby etc. players outside of lfc like raul, zidane, kaka, guardiola, nedved
