subtle, a defender or two may have that in the back of their mind now...

He's wrecked by the looks of it. Not going to go looking, but he has to be near the most played minutes this season and has had to be a one man midfield for large swathes of it. Didn't get much help today, and wasn't great himself, but way down the list of problems overall.

lol - looks more like: "show me your best innocent look for the ref...." cue the laughter

I get the impression that making money is an inevitable consequence of winning, rather than wanting to win to make money (if that makes sense ). They are already all rich guys, and the test /fun of showing they can be successful in other areas seems to be the driving force.

Experts have agendas too. One simple scenario that happens all the time is this - redevelopment is totally possible, but complicated. Even although an architect / consultant / contractor will in theory make more money because of higher costs and longer construction periods, they'll push the easier new building the park because they'll make nearly as much money without as much hassle or risk. If the owners say, ok, this is our financial risk, tell us how to redevelop, you'd see them being much more realistic in their assessments.

ffs, openingly clamoring? wait and see what the question was to start with, and then have a think about what you would say, hell yeh i want to be liverpool manager most likely. And who gives a flying f**k about what way the media spins it. I read it as he was worth 70 last year, now he isn't, more of a dig at torres than anything else. In fact, just seen / heard the snippet on the news, defo seemed to be a dig, rafa had his mischief smile on.

the 'yes' tv channel has been perfect for me for months now. Good quality, only the very odd stutter, and no sky sports b****x at half time cos the guy does some techno trickery giving us sooting tunes and stats. It's usually listed first on myp2p.eu

[quote name='Heighway 61 Revisited' timestamp='1295692829' post='2825292' I think he's about the level of Joey Barton, who I quite rate comedy genius

Don't really know why, but I always had Beckham down as having some sort of workings going on in there - but that he just wasn't too educated due to prioritising football, and couldn't get the sentences out. OR Maybe he is just daft and has to have a good think before his mouth works. Definitely agree that it takes a certain type of intelligence to be a truly top class player - an instinctive sort, spatial mostly [which feeds the decision making / cognitive part]. edit: to bring it back on topic, babel just doesn't have it - he's got the physical attributes, pace & skill [arguably another form of intelligence], but it looks like he takes instructions far too literally, his decision making is utterly awful.

Probably finalising the CEO appointment, possibly announcing it, but I reckon they'd be over for the derby anyway - they seem to appreciate the significance of things like this, small PR move, big effect overall, and you get to see a hammer and tongs match. The fact the place is going to be rocking more than it has in a long time is an added bonus. If Anfield blew them away before, they're gonna experience it at a whole new level now.

Feeling pretty emotional about this. I suppose thinking about it that the day Kenny resigned was the day I really got Liverpool. It was fairly clear he'd given everything to the club and the city, given himself up entirely. Up to then I'd just been a young kid following football, and to be honest, it was probably just glory hunting that made me support lfc in the first place [along with the usual liverpool, real capital of ireland crap]. Seeing what Kenny had done, what he represented, got the true tribal & social nature of LFC into my head. We have our way, EVERYONE gets brought along. And we will win.

in a sense, i know what you mean about the addictions. On the other hand, if that idiot wants to put his obviously bulls*** opinions out there then he's going to have to stand up to some analysis himself. Fair play to GJ, my estimation of him has went up a bit. edit: i'm also pretty sure I had now reached the massive total of 18 posts - where have they gone? 11? I'm way more vocal than that.
-
My guess would be that he has expressed severe concern before now, made his argument, and that a short time frame was been agreed to assess Hodgson [while he's actually carrying the job & according to what he's saying to them in private). I'd also say we were probably well into that time, and that the defeat last night, the utter lack of team cohesion or tactics, and the utter lunatic sheite that he has been spouting, will mean Commolli has been on the phone today saying it's over, plan b (or hopefully c, d and e if they're organised). fingers crossed nehows, my mum got a new liver for xmas, hopefully hodgson to go next. then we can all begin to dream about thatcher again, make it the best xmas / new year ever
-
maybe, maybe not: football knowledge is increasing, but the fact that i've an [extremely healthy] distrust of the media always helps
-
heh, probably would have been just as explicit, but my 14 posts don't provide large enough a shield ;-)

" I know, let's loan out a young, promising, homegrown player in the final year of this contract." I also often wonder if anyone has explained to our new owners how the entire club hierarchy managed to misinterpret (i.e totally f*** up) the squad rules for the year. It just beggars belief. edit. just to add, I'm all for Rafa coming back. never should have been sacked. If NESV look at the stats they'll see that, at the very least, they should be talking to him. whether they can come up with a working agreement / structure, who knows? well worth exploring.

Just read the interview. Any patience I had left for the hypocritical whining f**ktard is now gone. I really need this to be over, before my mental health suffers so much that I have to try to forget that football even exists. Perhaps a court case on behalf of our fans, using the human rights act, based on cruel and unusual punishment? Anyone heard anything more about the 70,000 emails sent to SOS? arrrgh. this. is. depressing.
-
rather than this being the fans fault, maybe he's clueless?
-
I never thought he was the right man (or that Rafa should have been 'mutual consented' for that matter), but I've been astounded by what a sniveling, whinging, hypocritical, self aggrandising and deluded man Hodgson really is. Some of the things he has said beggar belief, and when you start comparing what he said one week to another it really makes it clear where his priorities lie; him, himself and his meedjia / LMA bloated ego. Just get rid of him so we can all start enjoying being fans again ffs (win or lose). edit - just noticed, 11 posts in coming up on 5 years - that should give some idea of the hate that he is inspiring
-
so , 13 wins, 13draws, 12 losses. 52 points. yea.
-
no matter what your view on the rafa issue, you've got to say that it looks like rafa and john henry are reading off the same sheet, would most likely have made a pretty formidable team...
-
Totally agree, it depends on what way you go about expressing things. If you go to your boss or your boss's boss and say something, or they ask you, fine. It's when players start (allegedly) providing off the record b******s to snidey journo fookers with their own agendas that the problems start.
-
at the risk of a ban, which i'll happily take: you are a f***ing w*****, embarrassed about that are you? prick.

According to Roy at the pc, none of the 11 that will play were involved on wednesday. He's sort of gave it away just a tad already.
