    Masch

could also be 30k basic after tax - which would bring it up to nearly 50k a week. then bonuses etc etc pump it up even higher. it may be to masch's advantage to have a *ahem* low basic wage - noone know exactly what his situation with msi is. he could have some sort of agreement with them even if they don't own his playing registration. he may also hold his own image rights etc - i'm not too sure what way the club usuallly approach those sorts of issues - anyone care to enlighten us?
  2. just got back from the ticket office. was pretty unfair the way they did that, all british passport holders refused entry. Luckily enough I had my irish driving license in my wallet, so was able to get through. didnt fancy explaining dual nationality in spanish to be honest. hope everyone else manages to get tickets - the atm's should be good to go!

    Barca away

more tickets are going on sale 15 days before it, home only tho. I'm living in Barcelona and have been asking around a lot, general feeling is should be no problem to get tickets, should be able to get them at a reasonable price and that sitting in the Barca end isnt going to be a problem. still going to go sit in a sleeping bag fro a night beside the camp nou ticket office tho
  4. sgt peppers t-shirt for christmas day methinks good man fyds!
  5. jeebus. just back in the door. knew this was going to happen - knew i should have stuck a few quid on it. aaarrrggghhh. next question tho, anyone got any ideas about whether its safe to be in with the barca fans these days? cant see that i'll be able to get a ticket for the lfc end...
  6. yup agree with all that too, i'm absolutely sure that the models are accurate, but its just the views that can be deceptive. if there was a view from 1.8m above pitch height, looking straight and level towards the goal it may give a better idea of the angles - but wouldnt be so 'sexy' as it wouldnt really show much else. the images showing the whole place in one shot have a very big field of view, which can play tricks with the angles. but tis all in the realms of speculation - the obvious thing would be to have the stands as steep as possible, to minimise the building footprint and create atmosphere - but there are other limiting factors such as the height that complicate this a bit too... i'd actually love to get a look at the drawings - especially the sections as it would clear this up pretty quickly. would also be interesting to know just how far on the plans are - if there are working drawings (ie the drawings for the builders to use) done it would probably mean that there is less room for changes without causig delays and increased cost - on the other hand, if its not detailed so much or fairly standard details are being used it would mean that it could be tweaked a fair bit. anyone here work for the architects? (heh, or own a crowbar and live near by?) fancy 'liberating' some plans?
  7. the angle of the stands would be controlled by the building regs re: stairs, so i would think that they are designed to be as steep as possible while still meeting these regs. dont pay too much attention to those 3d visualisations, the perspective views for 3d models can be extremely deceiving once you move 'outside' the likes of a room or corridor. all to do with field of view etc. to be really pedantic about it, perspective doesnt really work at all, everything we see is curved - do a search for curvilinear perspective on google and it'll explain it all and show some examples. wrote my architecture dissertation about this madness, bends (ha ha, boom boom) the mind.
  8. Will bookies take bets on a draw outcome?
  9. yup, that team could have any of the 3 cb's sitting behind the, heh, 'midfield'. could easily be 3-5-2- as well. tis a wait and see jobbie methinks.
  10. jealousy. terrible affliction.
  11. call me a masochist if you will, but i have a feeling its going to be barca. (well, a feeling and a fervent hope - hence the masochist bit - i moved to barca two weeks ago, so my first european tie at the nou camp would be some night!)
  12. so that'll be why we finished last season with a record points total then?
  13. actually rings a bell bout crra telling him where to go. i also realise it wasn't souness who made the tackle, can just very easily picture him calling neill a big jessie or similar for even considering an apology. am going to try and forget about souness now, work is nearly over and dont wanna be in a bad mood l8r. the gobsh*te.
  14. yeh, but i for one am gonna blame that on souness. just about the only lfc player past or present who i hate. fookin wa**er. probably counselled neill that it would be girly to apologise - pr**k.
  15. Speaking of Kuyt (it's tenuous, but go with it), Newcastle are trying to bury the embarrassment of travelling to Dublin to watch a player they had a 0.000001% chance of signing by bidding for Russian striker Alexander Kerzhakov instead. As they'll be stuck with Shola Ameobi and Albert Luque if that goes belly up, they could probably do with reaching for the panic button several times. from the gaurdian rumour mill. made me chuckle.
  16. sack constantinople.
