Yes, but isnt that a completely hypothetical situation..him getting a suitable run of games. His injury record makes him a very risky even buy at 6 mil. If he doesnt play much, we'll just be 6 mil plus wages short but not a player who could play. Its not only a question of 6 million pounds but also 80-100 grand a week. -
Erm... he's a left sided centrehalf. Really tall, dominates the air. Not very slow but not quick either and he has got decent experience for a 22 year old. Less than 10 words or so..

We can still buy in Jan, though. Of course the argument that injuries to defenders can cost us the title by then still holds, Jan is still a decent option right now. I think we were done cos of two reasons (1) Carra getting injured so close to the end of the transfer window. (2) The Heinze case taking so long. Teams this late dont want to sell this late into the window and we missed out. Hopefully, injuries will not cost us big time till the next window wherein we'll get backup.

In a normal market i'd agree with you. But the market has really been inflated this summer with even the average sides ploking 5 and 6 million for average players. Richardson, Chopra and Jones cost KEane about 6 million each. Ditto Nugent and Redknapp. Bent went for 17 million. Spurs have put Defoe for sale at around 15. Surely Crouch is worth more than that. He's got a decent scoring record whenever he's started games and brings a lot more to a side. It'd be ridiculous to sell him a 12 million.

One would think that they ran him ragged throughout the game. He played 20 minutes FFS! ---- Pennant, Momo, Torres, Voronin and Possible Finnan with 8's, the rest get 7's.
