  1. One of the silver linings in him leaving is it solves the issue on the horizon of him actually becoming captain
  2. I think Jota might have another good season in him for us. This isn’t based on anything that he’s showing at the moment mind you.

  5. I'm going to get an actual war chest one of these days. I reckon I'd get loads of likes for a picture of me in the summer, with a war chest.
  6. I saw Tears for Fears in Delamere Forest the other year. They OPENED with EWTRTW. I couldn't believe my ears or eyes.
  7. Funny you should mention Chris Rea, he is the other artiste I can think of that has gone on that specific route: Liverpool players all getting into one of his tunes, it becoming their thing for a season, fans getting onto it and sending it into Liverpool folklore (Souness, Rome 84, I don't know what it is but I love it).
  8. My favourite bit is The sultans are playing Creole................................................................... (creole).
  9. A) That mark knopfler tune is great and B) Alisson has been playing sultans of swing in the changies before every game recently.

  11. Yeah they seem like the 4th best team in it currently
  12. It's an interesting area, knowing your place. I think part of that thing you're on about with Newcastle is a symptom of the one club city thing. They are wrapped up in themselves. Would you want to know your place? Spurs and West Ham definitely do, and it makes them less annoying to outsiders, but they likely won't ever climb out of that place. Even City and Chelsea are weird halfway houses.
  13. I would like to read your full thesis on this matter to be honest. I have thoughts. Possibly the main reason everyone hated Hodgson so much here is that he knew his place, and tried to get us to go there. I remember Neville Southall saying he thought Everton were going to win the league - this was about 10 years ago, and everyone laughed at him. That was him refusing to accept their place.
  14. And then Mane 2 seasons later, Virgil a year after that. They were alright.
  15. Ahh I was going to do this joke before but only came up with Maccies, which isn't anywhere near as good
  16. Spurs were sound in Madrid too. They're alright by me.
  17. I was in the upper centenary, level with the liner so I spent the entire VAR check calling him a c*** because it was clearly onside and he'd ruined the celebration.
  18. Ha ha ha Snolle Bollekes indeed
  19. The bench went up first, then the lower main and the bit of the Kop level with them. My mate was saying he saw Robbo give a double thumbs up on the field before any of that happened as well. Basically everyone who celebrated was looking at the bench I think.
