i disagree. klinsmann had a team playing for each other, playing good, fast, adaptable football. he picked the players who deserved to be in the squad to start with (much to the chagrin of bayern), and wasn't afraid to drop big names on the day - schweinsteiger spent almost the whole WM on the bench, the more functional Borowski taking his place. his tactics were simple, but played to the strengths of the team. not that he will ever be considered for the england throne or anything, but at least some of these characteristics would be handy in a new national coach.
