or "shall we sing a song fo you?" Well, no as you'd sing about villa. Idiots.

It's about time Rafa had a mosiac, christ I think he has done enough to deserve one. Would be a great show of support and might get the media off his back.

I know the club rarely take much notice of this kind of rubbish but they want to release a press statement asap concerning this. If only to reassure Rafa that he has the full backing, (I know kiss of death) of the board and that this is lies. I can not remember in all my years a board member talking to the press, but then if we are on the verge of a big investment then I suppose anything is possible. I don't actually believe it. I'm surprised that nobody has spoken out about the Houllier buys and cash wasted by him? Rafa has been a scrooge compared and has landed some bargains. It's crazy.

The club sold the tickets cheap to attract a full stadium, we had a full stadium. You can't have it all, there are always going to be some people around where you lot are sitting that will annoy you, why don't you hand out a list of acceptable chants, accents etc to each and every person when they come in so they will be able to reach your high standards. Fussy t***s

Imagine the ref had seen the two fouls before the first two goals at goodison, imagine one of the shots at Bolton went in and the linesman never gifted them the first goal. Imagine that utd missed those two chances... ah feck it I'm bored. FACT we won the FA Cup and the Champions league. We did both in some style. It would be too easy to go over any teams path to a cup final and pick out some lucky moments along the way. you tend to make your own luck in football and all good teams have a fair amount of it from time to time. I'm not suprised that some t*** of a hack wants to reduce what Rafa has achieved to a little bit of luck. I wondered how long it would be before they got their teeth firmly into rafa and this prick has just wasted 5 or so minutes of my life that I will never get back.

I can remember a time when you would have been laughed off a message board for even suggesting that, however it wouldn't be a bad bet. I just couldn't ever bet against us, if I won I'd feel guilty.

Rotation is certainly necessary in the modern game but not to the extent that it is happening here. I read somewhere that in Spain Rafa used rotation and got as much stick but in the end it worked out. The difference here is that we are falling behind badly against teams that will not drop those points and they manage without such drastic rotation. It is october and already we're talking of low confidence and the team not having reached their full level. I think without a good run some players will struggle for form all season and that has to be dangerous. Rafa knows best though and I am sure this defeat will make him look at his tactics again and who knows he might come up with the answer. I really think that the loss today should mean that the same team should take to the field on wednesday, not only will this shut the media up (as Rafa would have fielded an unchanged side) but it will give them a chance to gain some confidence and put together some sort of run. Who knows a decent enough display and he could go with that team against Villa. I personally think we should get the team winning and working together as a team before we start resting some of them. That way you hardly notice the missing players.

Even better.

Manc game on Sunday - scoreline prediction?
DaveLFC replied to Andy @ Allerton 's topic in Liverpool FC
3-0 to one of the sides but I really don't know which one. -
I heard it was a double deal, both him and Carra Seriously though, as he will have one year left on his contract at the end of this season it would be sound business sense to ensure that he signs an extension or a new contract before he can walk away for free (see McManaman) or at a much reduced price (see Owen) If we can work out how long he has left on his contract then you can be sure those brainiacs at other clubs can too. For sure they will all want him and I am also sure they will offer many euros to get him (see Henry). I am also sure that Liverpool would not like to sell him to a club in the Premiership. However I am haunted by the comments that Gerrard himself made in the programme on Sky. He mentioned that he could go and play for another team and win medals but when he finished his career who would want to see them? He also stated that he wanted to stay at Liverpool, that he wanted to win things with Liverpool and who knows one day even manage Liverpool. I don't see what has changed in this short time frame. The club certainly won't make the same mistake and leave him feeling unwanted again. These rumours are going to get stronger as we get closer to contract negotiation time. They along with leaked offers from other clubs are designed to put pressure on both Liverpool and Gerrard. The best thing our captain could do is what Carra did when he was asked if he wanted to sign a new contract and he said 'where's the pen?" In other words I think its all b******s.

You missed out the two Super cup finals, Rafa would not be happy.

http://www.sports-world.com/Product.pasp They also have shops all over the place and the shirts are only 31.49p for an adult one, going to get my CL one after the offal sold out in seconds.

See him quite a bit when I go to my mates, he drops his daughter off at the school my mate works at. He is a really nice bloke (JB), my mate often chats with JB although he has absolutely no knowledge of football himself, so it must be really strange for him not to be asked about Liverpool etc.

Lumped it up a little too much yesterday when a good pass would have held possesion. Not writing him off but if he continues to do that he will find Agger getting the nod over him. He did come close to scoring a few times though.
-
No we would have seen through that and then thought you had not met John Barnes. Thanks for the story though. Was more a comment on how bloody obvious his comments are than anything to do with you.

He has an amazing insight into things, doesn't he?

Looking at the fixtures you will notice that we play 8 games until we have a 3pm kick off, even then nothing is guaranteed as Sky can and do change things as they wish. Little thought goes to the travelling fans who just cannot make very early or late kick off's. I think it could be time to consider selling TV season tickets to fans. With the availability of digital satellite it is now possible to sell individual team live games to fans for a season. You could be watching your team play at 3pm on a Saturday from the comfort of your chair. There are arguements against this, they (whoever they are) claim that crowds would drop. I'm not so sure. We sell out for all of our Premiership games as it is, away tickets are scarce and we never get enough. Thousands upon thousands of fans flock to pubs to watch the continental channels showing our games LIVE. So even if numbers dropped I am sure there would be more than enough people willing to take their tickets from them. With just a dish, the right receiver and a channel card bought on the internet you too could be watching LIVE games on your own television each week. Why should that cash be going abroad and out of the game, when with the right deal the money could be going back into football to help some of the less well off clubs or to improve the game. With this in mind the arguement against is mute, it is high time fans were given the chance to buy their teams games LIVE on SKY. opinions please?

"I just drank this drink, then I became all delusional, The worst part was I had these terrible hallucinations, I was playing in this awful blue shirts for a s**** football team, it was awful." Doctors will wait until he regains some strength before telling him that wasn't an hallucination. The hospital are defending some complaints that they failed to treat the player for several hours. The hospital manager claimed that they get so many delusional everton fans in on a regular basis that they usually just show them the Liverpool Istanbul DVD to bring them back down to earth.

I can get tickets for most away games through my corporate season ticket, I get NO loyalty for them at all. So if you are willing to cover any extra charges (any booking fee or postage) then if you give me sufficient notice I can try to get a ticket to a game for you.
-
I recorded the game from DSF and if you play it backwards we come from 5-0 down to grab a pretty respectable draw. The lads looked pretty refreshed at the end too.
-
Not a laugh and I did not suggest that, just not the end of the world that some would have you believe. Now they can f*ck off as you so elegantly put it.

This thread is a joke right?? People are fishing aren't they? Some people should have their internet and tv access removed for the pre season, I mean they are bad enough during a season but already the villagers are out with their pitchforks and heading to anfield for someone's head on a stick. People forget that this is Rafa's first proper pre season. The first one he had just arrived, the second was ruined with that stupid 6 game CL qualification s****. We were not drawn against these teams, Rafa picked them. You'll also notice that they got progressively harder and that all of the time the teams we played were much more advanced than us in terms of fitness and speed. You think this was an accident? Anderson was reported yesterday saying that the training was like marine training. Anyone that (like me) has done forces basic training knows how hard it is and that is nowhere near as tough. There has to be a time when fitness levels rise above the tiredness levels and you can be sure that Rafa knows exactly when that will be. If all goes to plan then when we start the season we will be head and shoulders above the opposition in terms of match fitness. Nobody wants to hear about 'match fitness' when the season starts. Other teams may scoff at that result but you get no points for a 10-0 win or a 5-0 loss in a pre season friendly. What you do get are clear indications of where problems exist. This time they exist with mainly squad players, players that may be called to fill in during the season and they are ones that Rafa needed to test. You can be sure that with some work they will not be making the same mistakes soon. Best they got them out of the way in games that mean absolutely nothing. I'm pretty confident for next week, that's when Rafa's tactical brain will kick in, that's when the team will be coming to a peak. After the tough couple of weeks they have endured the CL game will seem like a walk in the park, we'll be that yard or two quicker than the opposition in our league games. you'll see.
