  1. At the Super Cup Final in 2005 as I was walking into the stadium there was a pile of Match programmes. I asked the official were they for sale and he told me they were free and I could take one. I actually took two and fear this is one of the incidents that UEFA have mentioned. I am deeply sorry.
  2. IF he did come back do you think either Heskey or Collymore might start to get a little excited during next years transfer window?
  3. With Thailand copies getting so damned good (and cheap) and adidas designs looking poor, I would think the profits on adult shirts would be falling. I have a genuine red shirt and a copy red shirt with Fowler on the back (I had to). Apart from the end of the sleeve (bell shaped on the genuine) there is no difference. In fact the copy is fairing better after washes than the genuine. Still the price they charge for kids kits and the amount of times they change it you never know. I think my days of buying the shirts has come to an end. I'll stick with my scarf.
  4. So far I've only heard the talking, they've not really done anything (due to the fact they've only just taken control) We rarely heard from David Moores and I'm not saying we should draw a comparison between the two all of the time. It's just that we shouldn't really hear much from them, we should over time see the effects on the pitch, in the stadium etc. It still is far too early to make any judgement on this, we have to trust that the club is in safe hands.
  5. Interesting article but Liverpool were not the first team in England to have shirt sponsorship. Apparently one of the lower league sides had it before us but were made to remove it by the football league. We were the first to wear it authorised but even i remember us having to wear plain shirts when a game was televised.

    Ferguson

I met Bobby Charlton on a flight to London after the game, told him his team were damned lucky today and he could only agree. They know they were fortunate to win. I hope they enjoy the points, it's the last they will get off us for a while. Besides we have just got to end up playing them IF we get past Barca in the later rounds and I'll take a victory then over Saturday anyday.

    Parry:

What about these bunkers that were muted a few weeks ago? I'm guessing these are built under the pitch and with a lift for access allow some corporate members a place to chill when the game is not on. This should not get in the way of the plans too much and raise some decent revenue.
  8. worth watching if only to see paul merson squirm

    Gerrard

I noticed that, no mention of Mascherano either. It may sound paranoid but unless they have something to criticise us about they do not seem interested in us at all. MOTD is a joke which is a shame because years ago it was unmissable tv.

    Gerrard

Of course it was a penalty, Gerrard is standing with both arms stretched out, when he runs and goes down the defender still has his arm around him. If it was a dive then surely the defenders arm would not be near Gerrard. Try it, watch the video yourself. The only way the defenders arm would stay around Gerrard is if he was wrapping it around him to stop him. That's a penalty. And for the record, I hate any penalty given against us no matter what the circumstances.

    Mascherano

I think his confidence will have taken a big boost today, it was the perfect game to debut in. Looking forward to seeing a lot more of him in a red shirt.
  12. The barometer in Newcastle is said to be 'way high man' I'll get my coat
  13. I think it's a little morbid and from a financial point of view not really practical. We already have the memorial and each year a service to remember the 96. I think there are other ways we can remember them other than having 96 empty seats.
  14. It might give one or a two that kick up the a*** they have needed.
  15. Bluenoses clutch at straws don't they? Had we beat them 3-0 yesterday they would have simply claimed it was a draw over the two games. One thing a bluenose knows how to do is make excuses. With a small club like that, it's little wonder.
  16. Took the words right out of my computer.
  17. This six month thing is rubbish, DIC haven't bid for the club so they are not debarred under takeover panel rules.
  18. So how do you know for sure it's all rubbish and why does everyone have to have a degree in business studies to have an opinion? Nobody knows anything for sure about most of the subjects on any forum but are willing to put their views forward for discussion. One day we're all armchair business gurus and the next we're football tactics gurus. It's called an internet forum mate, if you don't like it then **** off.
  19. Just to help you out here are the stages you will experience or are experiencing at the moment. You can track this through the thread and I think we're still mainly at anger but touching on bargaining. Denial Anger Bargaining Depression Acceptance
  20. I've just found my pitchfork and have set fire to the garden broom. Who's coming to Anfield?
  21. Tell them it's one of the privilages you get for having that blue badge of distinction. They should try to get one and they would get some privilages too.
  22. Worth every minute
  23. I can just see one of the tabloids tomorrow with a picture of Rafa falling over and the headline 'Grassy Ass'
  24. All Gerrard shirts are flame retardent.
  25. Rafa "It's Gerrard, he says he's been getting those thoughts again"
