Torres was bad last night. So was every other player - except Pepe

Or when he gets a sex change and has grandchildren: "Cofie Annan"

Benayoun is a clever player who can pick a pass, link play and score goals but your not going to get pace and width from him as a RM, that's supposed to be Pennants remit. There's no answer to who should start, it's horses for courses as usual. But, fair play to Benayoun, he's really taken his opportunities well having been left out up til the last few games. I like his attidude and application.

I think it's pretty obvious we're missing Xabis composure in possession, that he is the best passer of the ball in our squad and that he has the implicit trust and confidence of Rafa to implement his tactics,,more important to our "teamcentric" gaffer than he would probably admit.

(tune of Volare) Vo-ro-nin, wo- oh Vo-ro-nin, wo- o-o -oh He comes from Sebastopol He scores for Liverpool

Come on Villa!

Not much mention of Torres,,how's he playing?

Had him for 1st goal though

Babel will score today

Sunderland is a game made for Mascherano. Keanes going to have them playing for thier lives, it'll be combative in the middle, a dogfight made for Mascher

Nice touch Luis. What he said about the song is class. Good luck to him in Spain..I'd like to see him do well for the national team too.

Torres Arbeloa Gerrard

I thought there was a touch of gamesmanship to Torres play,,I welcome it in our team though, all the winning teams have players who do it. The fair play purist in me is long dead in these cynical times.

Agree with that - Carvalho looks muck without Terry alongside. Thought we looked the most defensively solid out of the "big four" over the weekend. SW Phillips looked lively too - really hope it's Arbeloa on the left.

John O Shea now playing up front for the Mancs

Interesting post match comments from Stevie re:the free kick quoted in Sunday Times today,,along the lines of:"..glad I got to take it,they never let me take em normally, I usually put them over " sorry cant find link

Yeah! get on Pennants back like everyone else

Those chances weren't necessararily easier,,SGs faultless technique made them look easier chances than they were...except the one where the defender stopped the ball with his bollix, maybe he could've placed that one better
