Does anyone think Carra is truly bothered by this - it's obvious he's a better defender than Rio and along with Terry the best England have but maybe he's happy to play the utility role in joker Svens team...same as Stevie is to be played out of position.

If Gerrard scores tonight watch his odds for top WC scorer plummet. Get on early.

This accurately sums up the Ericsson era so far.

Gutted for Harry. I hope he makes it to the WC. Really feel a good campaign for his country would cap a remarkable comeback year for the lad and do his confidence a world of good.

Stevie is the better more complete player, no question. But I despair of this kind of talk about individual players in a team game - Momos and Xabis (and not least Rafas) part in SGs overall performance yesterday was and will continue to be overlooked by the press, they'll hype him up beyond belief before and during the WC as the messiah of English football...all very irritating. We know better than anyone of his greatness so lets keep it in-house and the redtops can have their stubby little spudfaced messiah.

We need to start taking more points off the big boys then we'll have every chance. The points bar has been raised in recent seasons - a good thing - and we've had to improve our consistancy. It's going to be intresting next season.

Only gone and become the finest passer of a ball and reader of a game in Europe

A good season well done Rafa and redmen. Now we make that cheeky bid for Henry and storm to the title next season

We did our part - not our fault Charlton are muck. What a great run of wins to cap a good season of overall improvement in most departments. YNWA
