  1. We'll get him for a tenner, spread out over the length of his contract
  2. Why wouldn't you want salah or mane to win the whole thing? It's not like they'll miss any extra games over it.
  3. i reckon he'll have more fun checking the balance of his current account on his phone while sitting in a hotel room as opposed to packing his bags in portugal. But i do see your point
  4. so is he cup tied then, or does them going out early mean he's clear to play for us?
  5. he came across brilliantly to be fair, just an all round good guy. And what he does for the homeless people of Stoke now is absolutely magnificent.
  6. i listened to podcast with Lou Macari recently and he went into detail on how he ended up going to the mancs. Really funny actually. He basically fell out with Jock Stein because he wanted more money as his father had just passed away and his wife was pregnant. after being a few weeks on the outside Stein rang him out of the blue one Saturday morning and told him to get ready as a car was bringing him down to England to sign for someone. He hadnt a clue who though. He eventually turns up at Anfield and talks to Bill Shankly in the directors box before our game. However during the game a scout from Utd was there scouting the other team as they where playing them the following week. Low and behold he got chatting to the scout who then tells him not to sing for Liverpool as Utd will give him the same money, plus he'd play because Bobby Charlton and Law where coming to the end while we had Toshack and Keegan who where young and he wouldnt be guaranteed first team football.
  7. He's a bit slow though isn't he. I watch a bit of serie a and I'm not some sky/premiership nut hugger, but if you get caught dilly dallying in Italy, you'd be f***ing slaughtered in the England
  8. Shocking penalty, I'll take it obviously, but no way was that a foul.
  9. Not the first time either, I remember klopp banging on about him last year or the year before when we played them in the league Cup as well
  10. We're blessed with good keeper in Ireland at the minute, unfortunately for kelleher, he was injured at the last year and the other kid, bazunu (he is actually Irish) came in, played great, saved a Ronaldo penalty and grabbed that number 1 shirt with both hands
  11. because he's a t***, or has covid i wonder?
  12. i know exactly what you mean, his touch, at times is arguably the best in our team, he can nutmeg and drop the shoulder to beat a player with relative ease, but then other times, he just seems, as you said, unconfident.... he's a strange one, because the guy is full of talent
  13. in 'utd's case they only need a kitman or toilet cleaner to have a game postponed. everyone else needs at least 23 first team players to be on a ventilators to have a chance of qualifying for postponement
  14. personally, i think his injuries have slowed him down just too much for the premiership, but in Europe he can get away with it, hence why he often has great games for us in the champions league. Shame, because he comes across as a very good guy, that knee injury against Roma really scuppered him.
  15. Had to work late tonight so didn't catch the game but just saw the highlights. f*** me that was some strike by thiago, hopefully a sign of things to come. As for worrying about PSG in the next round. f*** off, they're f***ing useless and don't bother running. We'd beat them like a red headed step child. I'd quite fancy a go at inter. Decent team, historic stadium. A real fixture, the rest are glorified walk overs
  16. Slating a 20 year old lad for not being world class in every match is pretty petty really. Don't forget, we're probably in the top 5 teams in world football at the minute, so our standard is ridiculously high. Give the lad a break, he was playing against a decent team that had flooded the midfield, while his teammate was an injury ravaged oxlade chamberlain.
  17. Is it me or did himself and Mane look rather pally on the pitch. And dare I say, for the first time in a very long time
  18. I think that's as good as the poor lad can play He's just not to to our standard anymore. Unfortunate seems a decent fella, but the accumulation of injuries have ruined him
  19. He's s*** scared of van dijk though, so no worries when we play them that's for sure
  20. That was the half price rack, wasn't it
  21. Both crap at penalties though....... Just saying
  22. I'm very calm about this whole situation. I just can't see not replacing wijnaldum. Klopp isn't a mug, nor is Edwards. We may leave it late but I'll be shocked if we don't replace the iron-man wijnaldum
  23. I really to rate and like Joe gomez. But from thrash recent pictures and videos of big virgil standing beside Konate, I must admit I'm getting tingly with excitement at the thoughts of those two playing together. They're f***ing huge, the pair of them. I don't think I've ever seen a centre half pairing that seems so unfair to attacking players as those two. Just f***ing look at them...
  24. More than likely correct. But I'm ok with the fact the club are unwilling to pay a 22 year old over 300k a week.
