I'm pretty much with you. He's laid on some sitters for his teammates. And then as you said, Mo should have squared one to him, but the miss the weekend, you could actually see that hurt him.. His head went down after that
-
Odegaard is way more physical than Wirtz though. He's brushed off the ball far too easily. What worries me is his defensive game is non existent. We can see now how hard it is to play with a passenger in salah, can a genuine title winning team carry two passengers in a starting eleven?

I think he has bags of talent. But I don't think he's cut out for this league.... If he hasn't figured out the under hit passes by now, he never will. He reminds me of an adult playing with children. Doing all the fancy stuff and not really having to "try"..... But then after a few minutes you realise these kids are slightly better than you expected, and you're old and slow.....

Very sensible post

isnt part of the problem is that he's changing the system every 20 minutes....i mean in the second half when we're chasing the games, he's changing it every 10 minutes, its a chaotic, unstructured mess!

Match Topic Brentford vs Liverpool - Premier League, 25th October @ 8pm
chrisbonnie replied to ynwa.tv 's topic in Liverpool FC
maybe that cold approach by the manager doesnt suit them. He barely acknowledges the players at full time, i know we where spolied with the team spirit by klopp, but i honestly think this is part of our issue. Slot looks like a robot...and a f***ing dumb one at that at this moment in time -
The players have stopped playing for him.... He's a dead man walking.... How many top managers lose 4 league games in a row, have such a terribly inconsistent style as ours.... And all after buying the best centre forward in the league, and Europe's most sought after number 10?
-
I think some of the vitrial is completely uncalled for. Besides two defensive no shows from our captain, the width of the woodwork, and two quilt edge chances missed by Gakpo and salah, we could and probably should have scored about 6 yesterday Yes it hurts more because its utd, plus it's now 4 losses in a row. But don't lose sight of what actually happened in the game. We dominated the ball, created more than enough chances to win it outright. We couldn't say that about either the palace or Chelsea games, when in reality, we where soundly beaten
-
They'd probably beat us going by current form
-
I worry more about his second and third touches
-
Hard to disagree with anything here.
-
It is rather baffling that on paper we've signed the best attacking players in Europe.. Yet somehow we can't create any chances. Anybody that isn't slightly concerned with that is clearly delusional
-
I wonder did he get the same surgeon as Virgil?
-
Are we really lacking pace, or our players being told to walk about more? I personally think it's the latter, we've seen this pragmatic approach since last year... I can think of 3 or 4 games off the top of my head where we genuinely looked "at it" Madrid at home last season, utd away, spurs at home to seal the league and the 90 minutes at home against psg, besides that, we've had this annoying pedestrian approach... And if im honest, it was a bit like that in klopps final two seasons as well

Luis Enrique woukld have this squad of players smashing everyone in the league 5 nil. we dont play quickly enough, thats on the manager and his tactics.
-
He may well, and I for one hope so to. But that's not to say he's somehow above criticism. He's one of the most expensive players in the history of the game, so rightly or wrongly he's going to be judged differently
-
maybe our plan all along was to buy Wirtz for Getafe, and not actually us
-
he's blessed Leoni done his knee in the other night, otherwise, the italian stallion had him in his sights
-
if Harvey Elliot had started 7 games in a row for us, he wouldnt have done any less, he may not have done much more either to be fair, but we'd still have the 100 million we paid for this guy... Im not saying sell, or flop...but i do truly believe he needs to be dropped, as he's offering very little in attack, and less than nothing i defensive work, quite frankly, we're carrying him, and in this league, you can afford to start a game, technically, 1 man down. This isnt the one horse race Bundesliga
-
the only thing keeping him in the team is his price tag, because lets call a spade a spade, he's been atrocious so far.
-
Now that's a devious little snake if he agrees to that.
-
Imagine signing saliba if Konate left. The level of piss boiling would be Aiken to a super eruption of mount vesuvius
-
The king is dead, long live the king..... Pretty apt. Let's get behind our new first team right back now.
-
he's only scored about 14 goals in a glorified farmers league.
-
That's crazy... Never seen that before. So trent is a manc now.....
