Rainhill - surely there’s much better schools for the young players to go to? Don’t City send their kids to a top school in Manchester which they guarantee for the length of their education, whether they make it or not? For many, many reasons can’t see Bale coming at all. Aside from the fee and the wages - and that in itself would require a huge policy change from FSG? - and the knock on effect of those wages, are we saying that somebody drops out of our current forward three to accommodate him? If so, who? And I can’t see Bale swapping the Madrid subs bench for ours. Pulisic is a much more likely transfer, I think.
