I was at Hertha Berlin v Alemania Aachen on Saturday (was in Berlin for a weekend) and had a look at potentials and I thought Arne Freidrich was outstanding and very Alves like in his gameplay and style. He influenced a game from right-back. He looks a worthy alternative to the Brazilian in my book.. Hope Rafa is reading..

If he goes to Serie A he's plain daft. That league is nowhere near what it was. If a sh**house team like Roma can win 7-0 and the likes of Bari, Genoa, Napoli and Juve are in Serie B.

I don't know how we can fix this problem we've got on the wings but we do need to get at teams better. We've seem to have become lethargic away from home were last year we didn't give teams an inch to play. We used to compress play but now we're making the pitch too big to do that.
