Bit controversial this but I think Yossi is overrated by a lot on here. I think he's an average player and had a purple patch at the end of last season, one swallow does nto a summer make and all that. Not saying we should necessarily get rid but I just don't rate him as highly as most on here.

I'm torn on the should he stay/go thing. on the one hand I can agree with Fletch that losing him now with no long term replacement would be detrimental overall, on the other hand I agree with Kev that I don't see a way back for him at the minute. Basically I'm glad it's not my decision

I see where your coming from but it the context of this game, where Wolves were rubbish and not really threatening at all I think it stinks of a negative, cowardly attitude. If that's the kind of decision that the manager is making it's not hard to see why the players are meek as lambs. It's not only the captain that needs to lead by example.

I like Rafa, always have and still do. However performances like last night really stick in the throat and more than that, the unwillingness to use the 2 spare subs shows a stubbornness that will not help get us out of this. I don't want to get into the "this manager vs that" debate but can anyone here say that Ferguson, Ancellotti, Wenger, Redknapp and Mancini would've settled with a poorly performing team like last night?, eschewing their right to change things ? Not a chance in hell.

I don't get this either. Couple of weeks ago people were saying he had been our best player in recent games. He's not the issue. Carra is more of an issue in this team than Masch or Lucas. The constant hoofing from the back effectively bypassed the midfield anyway, not that Carra was the only culprit but he is the worst I think.

Sounds fair enough really, although I do think we would get overrun with both Gerrard and Aquilani in there. It'd be one defensive and one offensive for me, probably Gerrard deep with Aquilani forward as he needs time to get used to the league. And just to be pedantic its actually 11 points from 15 which is far from relegation form. Not perfect of course.

This is the most annoying thing. We weren't under threat so changes were not going to be a big risk, the team was really struggling for coherence and still only one sub. No logic can defend that in my eyes, subs are there to change the game and when we are in desperate need Rafa just ignored the possibility. Fuming at this..

me too. it's my default position though. my one remaining hope is that this weak team they have has the potential for a really poor run of results, assuming the refs let it happen of course. they've already lost 5 (?) and I can see that increasing

I think the Masch and Lucas combo is the right choice here. Spurs will come at us with their tails up and those 2 can stop that and hopefully get the ball to the forward players. Riera can at least make the ball stick wide, pulling the spurs defence a little wider and allowing Aqua some room in the middle. So that all sounds good to me, as for Kuyt up front on his own. Feck knows how that will go but at least, even when he's at his worst, he has good movement.

IF Rafa leaves us I'd take him in a heartbeat, best replacement we could possible hope for.

Unbelievable. That's us screwed for 4th. Should Rafa manage to get there I think he deserves credit rather than being damned for the poor season.
