  1. Big Sam, most journos can't understand why we didn't go for him 1st time around.
  2. If you've paid inflated prices for an easyjet flight, inflated prices for hotel accommodation and the only way of getting into the ground is to pay a tout at inflated prices, seems the only way to go. You've already been screwed, why cut your nose off to spite your face at that stage? Obviously touting tickets is immoral, but it's essentially the same principle operated by big business, laws of supply and demand and all that bollix.
  3. Did he get the under 21 job on a permanent basis?
  4. came across as stupid rather than malicious to me. I also find Mayo's whole show stupid and rather pointless as well.
  5. Zokoro should have tw*t*ed Lampard. Thought the new rules said opposition players shouldn't kick the ball out if one of the other team is down, so I don't know why Lampard was having a pop for. and Robben needs to be sorted out once and for all, the cheating diving bast***
  6. This content is not viewable to guests.
  7. used to work in the East Midlands and was always greeted with "lock up your cars, here comes the scouser...." Most of them stopped when they realised how much it p*ssed me off. It was only ever meant as a joke blah blah blah, but I got fed up pointing out that car crime was actually higher in the East Mids than it was in Liverpool. The media should take a more responsible outloook, but if you complain you get "whinging scousers, too sensitive, can't take a joke etc." I read the Times match report as well, and the last comment about daylight robbery was completely unnecessary. I found it strange that Danielle Lloyd was described as the rascist/bully scouser on Big Brother, but no mention was made of the origins of Jade Goody and Jo O'Meara when talking about their bullying/rascist remarks. Wonder why that was necessary?
  8. I think Drogba has had a great year, not only scoring loads of goals, but also cutting out most of the diving. Ronaldo is still a cheating c*** though.
  9. Will the club persuade the steward from going down that route though?
  10. It looked like the ref was giving Gerrard a b******ing over the beachball... "if they do that again, you're in big trouble."...
  11. That's hilarious. Wish I could have them instead of Sky on the commentary, Brady and Dunphy are so bitter they make Andy Gray seem like a true red! Having said that I did think bringing Pennant on did leave Finnan exposed at the back. I would have moved Pennant up front and left Gerrard on the right myself, but we are in the last 8 and even better if we have p*ssed the likes of Dunphy off.
  12. but does Rafa need the directions to Harvey Nicks?
  13. Once again we're linked with a player that wouldn't automatically get into the first team for Utd, Chelsea or Arsenal. I thought one of the reasons for Moores selling up was so that we could compete at the top end of the transfer market? Obviously the above is academic bearing in mind where the link is coming from......
  14. Houllier's season, first 12 games til he played for a draw against Boro. Fact don't lie, the best team wins the league. If Utd win it, they deserve congratulations - through gritted teeth of course. We should have played our best team at the beginning of the season, on a regular basis, particularly as we had our toughest away games then. Apparently we were changing on average 3.4 players a game at the start of the season, since xmas it's been something like 2.4 a game. This has been reflected in our points haul for the corresponding games.
  15. If true, will the press outside Liverpool pick it up?

    Rafa

Are you saying we won the toss, and chose to attack the Kop in the 1st half?

    Rafa

Sorry, I think you're being a bit dumb if you are trying to claim that the losing manager got his tactics spot on. Ferguson came for a draw and they largely played within themselves IMO. I think he probably got his tactics spot on. For the record I don't think Rafa got anything radically wrong. but we've failed to score for 10 league games this season. He needs to go shopping in the summer.

    Rafa

    which is why we lost?
  19. I thought we should have put 3 in the wall tbh, always looked like Ronaldo was going to put that type of ball in.
  20. Fed up watching us dominate games and end up losing. Once again we failed to put the ball in the back of the net, 10th league game this season I think.

    The RTK

The most sensible piece I've read on this subject to date. Previous articles I've seen have struggled to deal with the fact that some of our most ardent fans come from outside Liverpool. A question though, do the fans who go to the games, but don't contribute to the atmsophere at the games actually come on sites like this? To read the various comments made on this subject it seems unlikely. What's the point in preaching to the converted?
  22. Thought this review of Wayne Bridge's part in the melee at the end of the game was quite amusing: * Wayne Bridge and Emmanuel Eboué Bridge is standing on the fringe of the action when Eboué wanders over holding the ball. Bridge pulls the ball out of his hand. Eboué reacts by taking a step back, then kicking Bridge in the shin at the same time as striking him on the back of his head with his forearm. Bridge's immediate response is to draw his elbow back as if to jab Eboué in the ribs. Then he looks to his right, where an official is standing, stops, raises himself erect, clutches the crown of his head, opens his mouth as if screaming with pain, and falls dramatically to the ground. Eboué, meanwhile, has decided to give Bridge another shove but, with Bridge already falling, Eboué loses his balance and tumbles on top of him. When Eboué gets up Bridge rolls around in apparent agony and receives lengthy treatment. Independent today Didn't McAteer ask whether they wanted red or brown when one of the players asked him to pass the ketchup?
  23. must be a slow news day on SSN. They are running a text in on "Is John Terry the hardest man in football?"....
  24. I think referees need to take a stand against defenders holding/hugging opposing players in the box. Carvhallo is one of the worst for doing this. I'm not advocating diving, but I do get p^ssed off seeing the likes of Gary Neville man handling the opposition to the ground, as he did a few weeks ago, without being penalised.
