This was my second-ever game at Anfield. Tony Hateley claimed a hat-trick in our 6-1 Anfield trouncing of Nottingham Forest on this day in 1968, his second treble of the season. So there's about £11 million for this season (as the new stands weren't finished until towards the end) and £19 million more than us for next season on league games alone.

Apparently a lot of the "stolen" tickets have turned up! WTF's going on? A thief with a heart? Jiggery-pokery by Everton FC? A cunning plan by the authorities to warn against touted tickets that backfired?

News this morning said Liverpool FC were in touch with the FA to see if anything could be done. It's getting late but if the club pulled this one out of the fire, heck, I might even think about supporting them!
