There were a load of monkeys shown on TV this morning filmed last night singing that oh-so-funny "no surrender to the IRA." WTF's going through the minds of people like that? They go to Germany to support their team and sing pathetic songs about the IRA! They still sing "5-1, even Heskey scored" and we aren't playing Germany. At least there's no plans to. Ambassadors for our country? WE were great ambassadors in Istanbul but these morons in Germany? Words fail me.

That would be me then and a lot of the lads I travel with. And we all have two things in common; we love Liverpool and we want England to do as well as they possibly can.

That's where we have to differ then mate. Not all Liverpool players do get my unqualified support, to me, they have to deserve it and there's been a few who haven't down the years. Simillarly, I remember when Liverpool FC had fans all displaying the attributes you have witnessed in the England fans, and certainly this would have been at the time your dad would have been taking you to Anfield for the first time and therefore you will have seen and heard it. It is only because the good began to outweigh the bad that we "took control" back of OUR football club and yes, England do have some right knob-heads "supporting" them (the level of hysteria from know-nowt idiots this last few weeks has been astonishing). Saying that though, the decent supporters, such as my mate whose house I'm looking at now, are bringing it back to how it should be. As for saying the team that is currently representing your country can rot! A stay in the tower for you, me lad!

Not really a lot to do with football though, is it? Every police force in the world dreads long hot spell of sunny weather as they know the problems it brings. There's a well-documented psychological theory that shows an undeniable co-relation between a crime-wave curve rising in proportion with a rising temperature graph. Clayton Square saw a sorry combination of two unfortunate factors at work at the same time. I'll bet anything that if the temperature had been ten degrees lower, nothing would have happened.
