    New Stadium

Ian Callaghan, David Johnson and David Fairclough talking about the new stadium: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/videos-pict...00252-19519295/
  2. Then surely we have a case to take this further - his general display was inept, but there were TWO MAJOR refereeing mistakes in that game, which changed the result of the game. Sometimes we're too nice - if we get that c**t into trouble and he doesn't referee another game for us this season, then that's got to be a good thing and some form of compensation.
  3. While we're having a rant...I f***ing hate Sky and Richard Keys too - Lots of incident, excitement and controvesy in the game and what's his first comment? does he mention the game or the shocking refereeing decisions? no it's "That's the perfect result for Alex Ferguson" what am I watching MUTV or something? as if anyone else watching is thinking about that c**t after a game like that. The sooner I can watch football with another broadcaster and Sky go down the pan the better.
  4. Even ignoring the penalty and the 'two yellow card' incidents (which is hard) there were two free-kicks in the second half where he made sure Liverpool's wall was ten yards back but didn't mind that Chelsea's wall was about 6 yards away from Riise's free kick. I think Rob Styles was happy with the result today - c**t.
  5. I guess that's that question answered then! This thread can now be closed

    Ryan Babel

Sorry but the league table doesn't lie and we're tenth and it's all Ryan Babel's fault. >>>
  7. Not like John Barnes or a real free-kick expert can - that's the type of difference between us now and a title winning side.
  8. Yep they've done a good job so far - still a long way to go - but I thank them from the bottom of my heart for the new more ambitious stadium design. How a bowl shape without a significant Kop end was even considered by the previous owners is beyond belief to me, so thanks for saving us from that.
  9. For a while now we've posed very little threat from our set-plays, and one of the reasons I was really hoping we'd sign Tevez this summer was his ability from free-kicks - there was one game last season (against Spurs I think) where everyone knew where the ball was headed but he still managed to curl it in. If we couldn't get Tevez I thought we'd sign Simao or Alves, both of whom are handy from set-plays, but now that it looks like we won't be signing any of them, is there anyone amongst the current squad who could make us more dangerous from free-kicks? It could make a big difference as we try and close the gap to Chelsea and Man U.
  10. Does the fact that Chelsea still haven't signed Daniel Alves mean that he his holding out for the possibility that we will come in for him if we qualify for the Champions league??
  11. Come on Elisha give us a cryptic clue like "we don't do things by 'alves do we?"

    New Stadium

Can anyone remember what the capacity of the old Kop was when it closed in 1994? 18,000 in the new stadium won't be too far short of what it was then will it?

    New Stadium

Great idea - why don't you email the club and suggest it?
  14. I'm getting bored now - we haven't signed anyone for two weeks. It's clearly a LaCk oF AmbIShUN
  15. Riise's been a great player for us. The stick he gets on here p*sses me off to be honest.
  16. Bruno Cheyrou looked good against Lazio.
  17. He was a terrible commentator last night.
  18. I really want this deal to fall through - his tackling is so clumsy, and after a good first season I think his flaws have become too evident.
  19. Me - That explains it, I ordered it about an hour before the game because I couldn't get through on the phone last night, and it came on then went off again after five minutes so I thought they'd ballsed up my subscription! It came on again with half an hour to go, so at least I got to see the bits I wanted to see - Torres and Babel's debuts.

    LFC TV

I'm justifying it to myself this way - I would have paid £50 for the PPV games anyway, so for the extra £70 I'm getting the LFC channel for about £6 a month - which isn't bad. Is the price of Setanta likely to drop any lower than £9.99 a month as they try and attract new customers for the Premiership games they've got? (not that I'm tight or anything ).
  21. Babel looks quality to me so I'm happy with that signing, and am sure we'll have signed a winger by the start of the season - Hopefully Simao as we could do with a bit of quality from set plays and free-kicks too.
  22. So if you subscribe to Setanta do you get the Liverpool TV channel free or will you have to pay an additional fee on top as well? I'm a bit p***ed off that the two upcoming friendlies are on Setanta, because you're desperate to see a Liverpool game and the new players by then, and I was hoping they'd be free on Channel 5 or Eurosport. £120 for the extra premier league games instead of the £50 you paid last year for PPV sucks as well - they know how to bleed you dry don't they? No wonder people watch games on the internet. How much is it normally to get one of the scottish league games as a one off?
  23. Does Torres drink sangria?
  24. Please tell me that Heinze was the best man at Tevez's wedding!
  25. I think that's part of the appeal for Fergie, even if Tevez and Rooney are similar players he's still signing another great player and spiking Liverpool's cannons at the same time - he knows that if we get Tevez then we are serious contenders for the Premiership next season. That's what worries me about Tevez delaying his decision until mid July, as that gives Man U time to raise money by selling, Smith, Rossi, Richardson etc, so it ties in with that if Tevez want's to go there. Hopefully though our naffness in the transfer market over the last ten years has made me unnecessarily pessimistic about our ability to compete, and our new owners are going to treat us by buying Tevez and Torres!
