  4. I think you're right. I still think we'll get Simao, and I just can't understand why United would be looking to buy wingers. It's hardly an area they're short of (Ronaldo, Giggs, Park, Richardson), whilst they have a Darren Fletcher shaped hole in the middle of their midfield. That said, its not like United haven't done strange things before.
  5. Negotiating stance from United, or is the purse closed?
  6. Possibility of a Milwall - Chelsea game? Good luck to the police for that one.
  7. I honestly can't see why United would want Simao. They've got a huge blackhole in the center of midfield, and they're being linked with wingers? Makes no sense.
  8. Thats class
  9. Oh I don't want United. I just think we'll likely get either them or Boro. You can see it now. Middlesborough and United, will both knock out their non-league opponents, denying one of them the opportunity for another money spinning match, away at Anfield.
  10. A plan fiendishly clever in its intricacies.
  11. It'll be Boro or United.
  12. So basically to recap... we're doomed?
  13. It's not so much Momo's pass accuracy that needs improving, it's the weight he's putting on the pass. They're getting cutout, not because he's playing them blind, but more that they're not reaching their target. Thats something that will improve with training and experience. Nobody is looking for Momo to be playing 40-50 yard passes. He's in there to win the ball back and play it simple to either Alonso or Gerrard. At the moment he's winning the ball fine, its just a matter of improving his passing technique.

  15. Something to consider about Cisse's penalty tonight. Watching it, it's almost (height, placement, power) identical to the one he scored in Istanbul. By definition, pretty much any penalty thats saved, unless the keeper claws one out of the top corner, can be classified as s***, but tonight Cisse did show how thin the margins between success and failure are. In May Dida went the wrong way, whilst tonight Beresford saved it.
  16. They'll think he's asking for a grope
  17. Wonder if Curbs will be joining him at some point.
  18. You never see managers talking about other teams tactics if they're not working. When was the last time anybody saw a current Premiership manager come out and say, "You know Sunderland really should stop playing such a high line, because they're crap at it." Or, "Well Arsenal are a hell of a team, but they do spend a lot of time farting about on the edge of the area trying to fashion the perfect goal." Managers make comments about other teams, because they want to try and influence their style of play. You never want teams to give up their bad habits, and always want them to stop doing well.
  19. I remember when Arsenal played Fiorentins at Wembley in the Champions League, and despite Batistuta being injured, he slammed one into the top corner from 20 yards out. Hell of a player.
  20. I'd be very bothered. When we won the Treble, the FA Cup was the one I wanted us to win the most. I love sitting down at the end of the season to watch the final, and for it to be us is always special.
  21. The thing is I'd quite like to see Curbs be given the cash and opportunity at a bigger club, whereas I'd also quite like 'Big Sam' to rot down at Notlob pretending he's already at a big club.
  22. "liverpool spokesman" could very easily be someone with an opinion who lives in Liverpool. Just because the implication is there, doesn't mean the source is as assumed.
  23. Make half time extra special?
