It was the very idea that we were after revenge for all those games today though. I very much doubt the players were lying awake last night thinking about the defeat from 1947.

He was fantastic again today. That said I can't believe he used to play as a striker.

To be honest, the BBC showed the whole game eariler, I'm not surprised they didn't show much of it in the highlights or do much analysis. Doesn't excuse the 2 minutes 30 secodns of post match analysis they did during the actual match programme mind you.

To be fair to Neville he was left horribly exposed at times against Kewell and Riise. We just kept passing round him in the first half. Actually, f*** being fair, he was s*** and Kewell pissed all over him.

Wouldn't wish it on anyone, but I'm not going to lose any sleep worrying about him. There are of course players of opposing teams you don't want to see experience horrible injuries. If when he was playing for Chelsea Zola had suffered a really bad injury, I'd have been concerned, and wanted to see him get better. Thats because Zola was a wonderful talent and a geniunely nice bloke. Smith isn't either. He's a mouthy little c***, who literally kissed his badge and swore he'd never join United... before joining United. He was a fairly decent striker before he sold himself out, and now Ferguson is ruining his career in midfield. He could easily do a job up front for anyone else, but unfortunately poor little Smith seems to have made his bed. When he came on today, for the very brief period all he did was fly into challenges, try and barge people off the ball and jump into them when going up for headers. That doesn't mean he deserved to get injured of course, but it certainly doesn't mean I have to give a s*** past the point of compassion for another human being.

Couldn't have happened to two more deserving players.

Not sure if it was a penalty but he definitely scored against us. Think he lobbed James. Also pretty sure in 1989 it was Alan Smith who scored against us.
