I had Riise as first choice, but swapped it around and was lazy Warnock 3rd choice for me, who else would get in ahead of him to make him 4th? Don't get me wrong, I like both Kromkamp and Zenden and hope they both stay. But selling Kromkamp to help fund Alvez for example, I'd be happy with as Alvez can play there. Similar situation with Zenden really - good player but if he helped bring us Kuyt I'd not complain. Would need a CM even more though. 2 players per position is the goal IMO, any more than that is a bonus but not essential.

We're still in the market for quite a few players of course, although I wouldn't put any money on who will actually be here come the start of the season. But I was just thinking today about how the squad looks at the moment, and how equiped we are to mount a title challenge. Here's the squad as I see it, from a '2 for every position perspective'. Assuming the transfers of Didi and Aurelio go ahead Reina Carson Finnan-------Carra--Sami----Warnock Kromkamp--Agger--Paletta--Aurelio Garcia--Xabi--Momo-----Riise Kewell--Stevie--Zenden--Gonzales Fowler--Crouch Bellamy--Pongo I''m assuming those definitely allowed to leave are Jerzy, Traore, Le Tallec. I'd say that Kromkamp, Zenden and Pongo would be allowed to go if we had replacements, possibly Warnock too. Unsurprisingly, RM and CF are the two obvious positions, with a DM also important IMO. I'd say that RM is definitely more important overall, which may be why we're linked with more RM's than strikers. The team is just short of title winning quality IMO, although capable - but the overall squad is as strong as I've seen for a long time, with lots of options and 'possibilities'. Fantastic job in 2 years by Rafa. Onwards and upwards, Viva la Rafalution!

Last minute ET winner would be about the only thing that could make it better. Also not being so p*ssed that i could remember a bit of it!

I'm gutted about this, Didi was as reliable as they come and always did a job. Also, this means there's one more player we have to go out and buy, as we now only have 3 CM's. The transfer budget is stretched as it is with the Cisse thing, couldn't we have hung on to him for 1 more season?

I'm starting to agree with this. Maybe it's due to the personnel we have at LFC at the moment, or the fact that Stevie hasn't played as one of 2 CM's for us very much recently, but I like him at RM. He floats about, not strictly sticking to the right, and has more freedom than he would at CM.
