No your probably right, most of the kids in there are young to be fair and the setup in the upper anny is geared to under 10's I reckon, but when they reach 11 & 13 as my lads now are I think there should be other options as they want to sing and be in with more of the atmosphere.
I take my two boys to all the cup games, few years back I was taking them to all games... too much money to opt into the league games too now.. Still costs a wedge like for the cups, even the yearly membership thing just to have a chance of signing up for a ticket isn't great. The anny road upper isn't the best place for the lad and dad section either I don't reckon .. get the lads back in the kop.
Real Madrid away, the Villa Semi Final, Stoke, all too much to bear, one great season and some amazing football had me feeling like a kid again with Suarez but ultimately we came up short.Good luck Brendan but the writing was on the wall, you couldn't setup a defence. Glad the decision has now been made. Come on please be Klopp.
Lets get this right: Jurgen Klopp is available and would jump at the chance of coming in and managing LFC tomorrow... Jurgen f***ing Klopp! The place would be bouncing absolutely f***ing bouncing with his big German grin taking on allsorts. Mike Edwards is preventing the above happening, who is he to have such influence? The club is a shambles.
Michael Edwards
Liverpool’s current director of technical performance is the least well known face on the transfer committee but Edwards’ influence has increased since he was brought to Anfield during Damien Comolli’s reign as director of football. He had previously worked alongside Comolli at Tottenham.
Edwards graduated from the University of Sheffield with a degree in business management and informatics before putting his IT knowledge to use in the world of football.
He was Portsmouth’s head of performance analysis from 2003 to 2009 before moving to London to carry out the same role for Spurs. Comolli was suitably impressed with his work that he offered him a job with Liverpool in 2011.
Initially, he was head of analytics – poring over the mass of data Premier League clubs gather on players in every match and providing reports.
Once Comolli left in 2012, Edwards took on greater responsibility and was made head of performance and analysis. He’s well regarded by FSG and since June 2013 he’s been director of technical performance.
The nod to his expertise tallies with John W Henry’s admiration for the ‘Moneyball’ philosophy where statistical analysis is used to try to find value in the transfer market.
Edwards assesses data from leagues across the world and is involved in the drawing up of scouting assignments.
Thing is if we bring in a top class manager, those above him will be quickly found out.... ergo no top class manager. FSG in Boston are culpable by not seeing through this and allowing it to happen, it feels like they want to win but don't give a s*** enough to see they are being hoodwinked by those overseeing things in the UK. It runs far deeper than Brendan (who isn't good enough either)
'Of course you can lose games, but its how you lose them and the last couple of defeats havent been how you want to lose a game' We need to rediscover our 'identity' Brendan, the above is as far removed from our identity as it gets...ours is winning fecking trophies.
Shocking if true.. Next season will be toxic from the off. No change will highlight that the ambition of FSG does not match that of a club the size of LFC, it's all about generating positive cashflow and raising their profile through sponsorship deals ain't it
