Pretty straightforward: Under no circumstances sell Coutinho this summerMake last attempt to get VVD & Keita with final bidsIf those bids fail bid big for next options.. i.e. Koulibally, GoretzkaShip out the dead wood i.e. Moreno, Markovic etc.. get them off the booksBe ready to identify and act on any opportunities for improvement during rest of the window i.e. Chamberlain etc..Give Can his new contract asap

Ah yeah looks like it, nearly the final countdown then...maybe.

Reports saying we have gone back with a 3rd bid of 80 million euro for Keita. Make or break time.
-
Michael Owen: If Keita signs for Liverpool he'll become a Liverpool player. How does he come up with such wisdom?
-
Yeah true, just going off what has been reported really, it does seem like they were happy enough for us to make contact with the player/his reps and his 'desperation' for the move was widely reported. I want us to get him any Liverpool fan would given Klopp seems to want him so badly. I'm not totally buying the Leipzig won't sell at any price line though, we must have had some encouragement from them behind the scenes to be taking the stance we are. Reckon we will do a final bid of 80 million euro and if still no cigar we walk away. Needs to happen soon though so we can focus on alternatives.
-
On Keita, we must have been given permission to talk to the player or his reps for us to agree personal terms as has been reported and also to find out if he even wanted to come to us in the first place. So....surely Leipzig must have a price they will sell for otherwise they wouldn't have given us permission to talk to the player would they? Why would they grant permission if they knew it would just piss the player off? If they have no price they will sell at this season wouldn't they have just said no to us discussing terms with the player. I think/hope we just haven't met the price yet or the structure of the deal isn't to their liking...it can still get done if we pay the wedge.

I still reckon if you throw £70 mil at Van Dijk & £70 mil at Keita their clubs will reluctantly agree to sell as the players agitate for a move, it would be out there if we had actually bid for either of them, we haven't. Problem is FSG won't do it, they are trying to unsettle players so they can low ball the bidding on the off chance a deal happens at a cut price, they are penny pinchers who think they know better than everyone else. They have no interest in us other than making money from the franchise. No way they will pay £70 mil for anyone and this way of doing things it looks like they have 'tried' but the other club wouldn't sell narrative ensues via leaks to the press which suits them fine. With top players at clubs who don't want to sell it doesn't work, it just pisses the clubs off. FSG are cool with that, money in the bank. I'd love to be proved wrong and see us table 70mil bids for VVD & Keita and see what happens, i just can't see it with this lot and that is what it would take to get either.

The club are loaded we have money from seasies, memberships, auto cup schemes, membership ticket sales, tv money, prem finishing place money, last years transfer money, sponsorships, corporates the list goes on and on and on... We were told whatever profit the club made would be re-invested on the pitch for the manager, where's the money going,we spent nothing last summer so that money should be there as well, even with a £200 million spend we shouldn't be over budget or breaking a sweat.
-
He will have been briefed by the club to say that too.

Interesting Keita quotes from that goal.com article.....agent Mane on the case: "Sadio Mane gave me a lot of advice," he told Foot365. "He showed me the way. Who would not dream of playing in the Premier League and especially to make a mark there like he is doing? His career proves that hard work pays off. His help is important for my progress." Senegal attacker Mane's first season at Anfield was a revelation, after becoming the most expensive African player in history, he netted 13 goals in 27 Premier League games, and continued to grow under Klopp.

Ya Ma's better than Moreno.

f***ing tight arses hope Klopp calls them out on this if it is true.

Reckon we will get VVD it sounds like he really wants to play for us but will need to force the issue with Southampton. Don't reckon we will get Keita but would be amazing if we did.

It has made us look like small time d****eads, running round spouting off cos Van Dijk chose us over the mighty city and chelsea, it's playground stuff. All before we even had the decency to contact Southampton and advise we wanted to bid, it looks totally unprofessional. There's a right way of going about things, were Liverpool FC ffs. These owners do my head in they think they cleverer than everyone else and are also proper tight arses, we are worth quadruple what they paid for us, we had a positive net spend last Summer, we have the TV money, the 4th place money and we are f***ing about letting some stats guy negotiate our transfers and trying to penny pinch at every turn.I reckon JWH could well peel an orange in his pocket. Enough is enough they are taking the piss, they must be laughing their f***ing heads off at us from their offices in Boston. Klopp must be seriously thinking WTF, especially if he has spent loads of time laying the groundwork to make the transfer possible, then those above him can't hold their own water. Things need to change and fast.

We knew this Summers business would show them for who they really are given last Summers positive net spend... cards have been played early here massively. Balls in our court now....
-
By apologising haven't we just admitted guilt? Stupid c****..
-
They have surpassed themselves here, didn't think it was possible but f*** me they have done it. No way have we heard the last of this, absolute clowns running us.

Great performance we must see it through now surely. Nice tenner on Coutinho to score outside the box at 7-1, gutted Origi didn't roll that pass across to Sturridge though, fiver on Sturridge 5-nil at 165-1 argh!
