Maybe it's him creating defensive uncertainty by not being decisive, calling for balls and then not coming for them, flapping at crosses and dropping them, staying rooted to his line at corners, poor distribution, take your pick. I like Mignolet he is a good guy and can make some tremendous saves, he can also be a match winner and is decent on pennos but he is too inconsistent and breeds panic in the defence, still not sure Karius will do any better i think Ward may end up number one eventually, at least he has confidence and is decisive and organises the back line well.

They should put one of us in charge of transfer negotiations, reckon there are plenty of boardroom tigers on this forum who could lull them into a friendly convo using their scouse wit and then blindside them into a transfer agreement with a sudden realistic appraisal and player valuation over a proper face to face meetup. Arguably the best defender in the league, just my opinion but i think he is a class act. I think he would transform us in defence, he is a leader and an organiser exactly the type of player we need back there, worth paying a premium for the right player.

Put 75 Mil on the table and if they say no then fine move onto the next target (if there is one) We haven't put a bid in for a player who is on strike because he wants to come to us, of course Klopp has spoken with the player, probably in some detail too. Midfield is weak, we are one injury away from a crisis. Defence is laughable, Matip and Lovrens injury record is not great we are a couple of knocks away from Klavan and Gomez starting together at the back alongside moreno. We have no squad depth whatsoever other than the kids as we head into the season with european football, it is negligent. It's obvious Klopp has done his bit in convincing his targets to choose us, the blame lies firmly at the door of FSG. I think the 1st choice or nobody line from Jurgen is to pressure FSG as they are trying to offer him (cheaper) alternatives to those he has identified. It stinks and we need to have a plan in place for action if nothing has changed post 1st September cos if it doesn't this will defo be Klopps last season with us before he walks (could even happen sooner depending on Phil and how toxic things get)

The only way i see us getting VVD is if he totally refuses to sign for anyone but us and refuses to play again for Southampton and then Southampton invite us to bid. Long shot innit. Whats annoying is that we have that much loose change in our pockets now from previous summers and the TV money our kecks are hanging round our ankles. Lovely, lovely stuff, best post of the thread.
