I want Robbo to stay. He comes across as one of the best lads in the squad and he’s still a good player. FSG probably don’t think a backup on £160k a week is a good use of the money though. Kerkez won’t even get that.

I stood at the Strand for about eight hours at the last one. I was ankle deep in cans and broken bottles. Then the cheering started and what i assume was the bus approaching and the flares/smoke bombs went off. I didn’t even see it go by. More chance of seeing Nessie from down there, be that the Monster or Shankly’s late wife.

I know it’s not linked like but ‘you can hear them crying in Turin’ could be deemed a little insensitive. Get him gone and give it to Wirtz and say ‘Munchen’.
-
You’d have to be mad to go on a train for any distance to this. I went after the European Cup win and couldn’t even get near Lime Street Station later than evening. My very unimpressed girlfriend of the time had to pick me up on a 250 mile round trip.

I was row 9 yesterday after being in row 80 odd for a few years now. I’d come to think of it all as a bit sensible soccer to be honest. But I do now appreciate my cloud city vantage point makes it easier to see passes that professional footballers can’t.

Can we stop talking about boybands please? Let’s get back on to transfers in the transfer thread. This feels like a real crossroads. Only a few more in and we’ll have a Blazing Squad.
-
As a general rule any player that needs ‘unlocking’ by bringing someone else in has lost already. Seeing Mancs talk about unlocking Pogba by pairing him with his very own on pitch butlers was hilarious. You’d struggle to improve Nunez even if you managed to stuff the combined intellect of renaissance Europe into that pea brain. You’d need to replace his head and his feet again and again to banish all trace of his stupidity. Like the ship of Theseus or more aptly, Trigger’s broom.
-
Just imagining Slot’s pitch to Wirtz. ”And then you’ll jink past an entire defence before knocking it in to this sanity sapping goal void so he can spoon it wide from six yards”.
-
He’d had three years with two great managers and been dreadful overall. That’s a fair crack at it for anyone and arguably a year too long already.
-
In my head we’ve signed the three already and i’m now impatiently waiting for the fourth. You get so much lead up now the rush comes from initial confirmation of interest/talks by Ornstein and Joyce. It’s all a post coitus smoke after that. Really do prefer the signed, sealed and delivered out of nowhere deals. Like Firmino, Minamino and Gakpo.

The song needs repurposing for Wirtz.
-
He probably doesn’t know. He was sat by the tunnel waiting for head scratches when I left yesterday.
-
Perhaps we are all guilty of just assuming he’d accept being the backup. Credit to him if he wants to carry on with first team football wherever that is.
-
I like Diaz. The effort he puts in is great and he’s a threat. I’d only consider letting him go if selling him and Nunez would let us go for Alvarez for example.
-
I have bad news for you. He loves Barcelona. Messi is his hero and he has said more than once they are his dream club.
-
The moment they ‘walked away’ was the moment it felt he’d told them it was Bayern or us. They just couldn’t bear the idea of him choosing us. City forums still can’t see why it’d be here. They cried when VVD said no and briefed that he would have been backup to Stones and Otamendi didn’t they?
-
Yeah he’s been seen eating pizza and M&M’s out of Richard Hughes garage.
-
We’ve signed his best mate and had him at the training ground. Setting him up like a Derren Brown bit. “And over there is the new coffee bar, by the blood sausage and rye bread station, Florian. And oh is that your long lost first love Frieda working in the canteen? The one that got away? What are the chances.”
-
Already have other clubs claiming it is £150m rather than Euros. I think it’ll be £110-£115m or so.
-
Wish we’d have got money for him but we’ll end up a better side for him leaving. Whilst it may start ok for him at Madrid, it’ll end with more boos and whistles than he got here. It’ll be delicious.

Rusty Shackleford replied to Sir Tokyo Sexwale 's topic in General Football Discussion
Three teams with a combined 197 years of trophy drought won pots this year. Not Everton. -
Combined total of £400,000 a week for those three. We could buy 0.91 Kenny Dalglish’s every Friday for that.
-
Team’s don’t submit bids without the agreement of the player beforehand. I imagine Bayer have indicated a willingness to sell, a general ballpark fee and let us speak to him. You can’t seriously think the holdup is us just not bidding?
-
I can’t be trusting a league that allowed Darwin Nunez to bag nearly a goal a game in his final season.
-
Someone get him down. That’ll be six months out with a splinter in the a***.
