  1. The league is the equivalent of WWF at the moment. Three major decisions all gone the way of WH. Their pen, the pen we should have got + the karate kick on Sterling. But again we don't try to influence the referee and won't make a big deal out of it.
  2. Should have had a penalty there but no one tried to influence the ref (most likely because it's already been decided we won't get any decisions this season).
  3. It'll destroy the Flow Of The Game™ apparently. If you just add something similar to what is used in NFL you'll have the referees making more correct than incorrect decisions. Which should always be the goal but for some reason the people in control of the game don't want that. Which makes you wonder... why would they oppose something that would lead to more correct calls made by the referees? They're putting in one hell of an effort in not caring about him...
  4. What did they do now?
  5. Our next press conference should include a video of all the penalties given this season vs every incident were we were denied a penalty. We need to start putting more pressure on the refs.
  6. IIRC the fake Ronaldo got a world class 100m coach (UK Olympic team coach or something like that) to help him out while at ManU. His form is pretty much perfect when sprinting compared to other footballers.
  7. Yup, they need to revisit this one. This has now got me all confused though... no good doing physics mind-games while trying to talk about football. A couple of facts remain. Bale is a diving c*nt and the writer of the article is a f*cking idiot.
  8. There's a big problem with their test there. In one test they have 1 object with inelastic behaviour (crumple zone) and one object with an elastic behaviour (the wall). They failed testing what would happen with a car hitting a stationary car. Because they didn't they tested 1 object that absorbs kinetic energy vs. 1 object that doesn't. And then went on a compared 2 objects that absorbs kinetic energy and claimed the two tests were equivalents. I'm a big fan of Mythbusters but that test was flawed.
  9. The article is ridiculous. We agree on that. You need to freshen up your knowledge of physics and kinetics though. :bleh:/> :lol:/> Nah, he's wrong (even though the article is sh*t). It might not be the equivalent to a polar bear but if two people run into each other there's more force involved than if he runs into a stationary person. You could then reduce the speed of the other object while increasing its weight thus keeping the net force the same (considering everything else stays the same) until it approaches 0m/s. At 0m/s the other object can still move which means there's still some potential energy (you could model a collision like this as a spring). You can easily test this by running full pelt into a stationary kid and then a fat dude. :P/> It's still ridiculous to use the polar bear analogy in the article though. You could also use kinetic energy vs. potential energy and so on and so forth. Way too much work to go through for an article like that though. :)/>
  10. This is wrong on so many levels. Suggestions: 1) Kinetic energy 2) Average speed vs. Top speed. But the article is still s*** though.
  11. It's not just about "good goals" or "good decision". We're 14 games into the season and pretty much every debatable decision has gone against us. And that's not even exaggerating. If the referees were only incompetent you'd expect as many to go for you as against you. Or at least close to a 50/50 split. We are closer to a 95/5 in decisions going against us. Denying that is putting ones head in the sand. And corruptions doesn't have to be some high level conspiracy. Labelling a player as a diver and thereby not giving him a single decision based on that label is also corruption though on a lesser level.
  12. Tell that to fans of teams in Italy. Then try to explain why something like that (Calciopoli) would not happen in the PL.
  13. It's still another game where we should have got more points than we did if the ref does his job. It's a recurring theme nowadays.
  14. This is turning into WWF. There's a stark difference in what our players can do vs. the opposition and what they can do. We should have had two penalties today and two penalties in the last game. Instead we get none and Tottenham scores the winning goal after winning the freekick by diving. If this happened once in a while it would be incompetence. This happens every game.
  15. A f***ing dive.
  16. FFS. f*** off Purslow, f*** off H&G, f*** off Downing and f*** off football!
  17. If it's incompetence and cowardice then you'd expect an equal number of calls for and against you. Or at least something close to 50/50.
  18. Both were nailed on IMO but are typical fouls that the refs sh*t out of giving when in the box. Biggest problem is that no one seemed to try to influence the referee. Same problem as ever. But we've seen them given against us this season haven't we? Skrtel against West Brom. Have we become so accustomed to not being given clear penalties that we don't really care anymore when they're not? Even when they were clear (but harsh) fouls? Do we as supporters suffer from the same apathy as the players when it comes to this? It was after Agger made a run into their box, and in the box made a turn. One defender took the ball, the other defender his leg... Typical foul that gets given outside the box but not inside it.
  19. Is it just me or could we have had two penalties in the game? 1. When Agger was clipped after his run into their box. 2. When Stevie was pretty much just kicked down after Shelvey's shot (IIRC).
  20. Classy those cfc fans.

We had Sterling and Suso there last year IIRC. Fits pretty well with your description. But I wouldn't be surprised if we'd see some sort of gradual change from the 4231 to a spanish 433 as Rodolfo and Segura wanted that when they came in according to reports (or was it just baseless rumours?). And as Brendan is a fan of the spanish 433 it wouldn't be surprising if we'd switch to that in the future.

There hasn't been any noticable shift in the way we play after Rodgers came, IMHO. It's the original 4231 that was implemented during Rafa's reign. He's better than what he showed during his time with the first team. Great movement off the ball and a very good finisher. Other than that he's decent to good at most things but he's lacking physically IMO. I'm not sure he'll make the step up to the first team but will have a decent career I'd guess.
