  1. I'd go with something like this: Mignolet Clyne-Skrtel-Sakho-Moreno Henderson-Lucas-Can Ibe-Coutinho Benteke
  2. Lovren is out isn't he?
  3. I'm not writing it off but I think we will ultimately fall short unless we make a few particularly shrewd signings in January.
  4. I don't think we will based on the current squad.
  5. That's going overboard.
  6. I am struggling to see it. So far he looks like another luxury player - much too casual and not enough end product in the final third. His one good game came against an ageing Demichelis and the erratic Mangala who given zero protection from the awful Fernando and Toure who has always been less enthusiastic about defending than attacking.
  7. The Brazilian Lallana. (And that's being kind). Obviously I hope I'm wrong but I don't see much evidence of top level ability.
  8. Until you can't get a foothold in the game and need an out ball to a striker who can hold the ball up.
  9. And there are question marks around all 3 at present.
  10. I think so too.
  11. Pretty underwhelming other than against City.
  12. He has been out so long that there must be a question mark over him.
  13. You have to assume we would want cover/competition at fullback.
  14. That's now two esteemed former teammates and his current manager alluding to it.
  15. RVP is one example of a gifted footballer who came out of the other side of a succession of injuries and was a success. There are a lot more examples of gifted footballers who weren't so fortunate.
  16. Also ex-Arsenal but five letters this time: DIABY
  17. He looks the part physically and can pass the ball out from the back but his mentality is suspect.
  18. Skrtel just needed to clean him out while he was outside the box and take the yellow.
  19. He is not the force he was a decade ago. That's only my view.

    Coutinho

Its not the end of the world and we should be able to maintain the pressing game without him. However, he is still by far our best option for opening up the opposition when we get the ball back.
  21. You should know the MO on here by now - it's never Rafa's fault.
  22. City at home in 2013-4 season when your mate came on and helped us to a get a grip on midfield when the game had started to drift away from us.
  23. Thought yesterday was one of his better games and would agree that his performances have picked up under Klopp although he needs to do more, particularly in front of goal. Having said that, there was a lovely take in the box (right side) when he effortlessly killed a ball dead that was properly travelling.
  24. I know speaking positively about Allen on here is not the done thing but he tends to play well against City. He was one of our best players in the victory at Anfield in spring.
  25. I agree. He is contributing goals, along with Coutinho. The other midfielders need to start pulling their weight.
