  1. I thought he wasn't nimble enough to play in centre mid. Happily I'm being proven wrong. He could be our holding midfielder for years to come if he carries on as he has been doing recently.
  2. Another composed finish after the one at Palace.
  3. He seems to have come out of a little dip he had around the turn of the year, which was no surprise given his youth and the sheer quantity of games he has played under Klopp. There are still aspects of his game that need work but he has a real presence in midfield. He has a big future.
  4. Perhaps his injury is limiting his game, but he carries on at his current level then he is going to be left behind by this team.
  5. I can't remember any player outmuscling him in centre-midfield, not even Toure.
  6. Its a great draw. I can't wait.
  7. No, he said completely seriously.
  8. What was dysfunctional about how the club handled Suarez.
  9. He can do that in pre-season.
  10. In the absence of Sturridge and Coutinho, JK needs to find a way of bringing Benteke back in from the cold and trying to restore his confidence. He might not be his cup of tea long-term but on his game he is a good player and can contribute to the side between now and the end of the season. A front six of Lucas, Henderson, Can, Milner, Lallana and Firmino will get us nowhere. So lightweight and pedestrian.
  11. Not an unreasonable comment in relation to a striker. Supposedly Wenger holds a similar view.
  12. I've given up on him entirely. I never dreamt that this season could be worse than last but it has. Superbly gifted player but he's gone.
  13. The penalty against Norwich was brainless but otherwise I think he has been doing better defensively under Klopp. However, he does need to cut out the play-acting, overreacting to every challenge - it really grates.
  14. They didn't seem too bothered about losing at home to City when it meant it cost us the title.
  15. a lot of penalties in there, though. not sure that is the case for benteke.
  16. I agree. His confidence has dropped but when he is on his game he is a good all-round striker. It was fair enough starting with Firmino as the striker on Sunday after his performance against Arsenal but Benteke should have been on after 60/65 mins, not after we conceded and with less than 10 mins to go.
  17. I'd go with something like this: Mignolet Clyne Toure Sakho Moreno Henderson Can Allen Ibe Benteke Firmino
  18. He can't play in a midfield 3 if that's what you mean.
  19. Wrong on both counts
  20. Needs to be better on the ball than he was today.
  21. Will help with set pieces which they are bound to target - Caulker, Sakho, Can, Benteke.
  22. The "Suarez era" might feel like a long time ago but it has only been 18 months. We walloped them at Old Trafford in one of Moyes' last games in charge.
  23. Why mess with the shape of the side from last night? Kolo needs replacing but otherwise same again minus the shoddy defending/keeping.
